Hello everyone!
We hope all of you have been staying safe and enjoying the weather whenever you can. It's been 7 months since my last post regarding a price increase to our dim sum items, and I have to again be the bearer of bad news. Starting next Monday May 30th we will be raising the cost of our dim sum items.
Dim Sum Item A: $4.59 (30 cent increase)
Dim Sum Item B: $5.39 (40 cent increase)
Dim Sum Item C: $6.19 (40 cent increase)
Dim Sum Item D: $7.19 (50 cent increase)
Chinese Broccoli, Soy Sauce Chow Mein, and String Beans: $9.59 (60 cent increase)
Beef Chow Foon: $10.69 (70 cent increase)
Snow Pea Leaves and Salted & Spiced Shrimp: $11.99 ($1.00 increase)
I have been hoping that prices would stabilize at some point during this year, but unfortunately that has not happened. All of our vendors have done their best to work with us, and while food and inventory costs have not increased as dramatically as it did during the early part of 2022, our suppliers now include fuel surcharges and transportation fees to our deliveries, which adds a new wrinkle to our operations.
We are very grateful to everyone for the amazing support and never-ending patience that you have so graciously given to us. These last 3 years have certainly given us a new normal in terms of social norms and interactions and financial behaviors, and we're very thankful that all of you have shown us so much love and generosity while dealing with your own personal challenges.
In looking back at my previous posts I see that I have been extremely wordy with my thoughts and feelings, and I don't want to take away any more of everybody's precious time. Please please know that we have survived because of each of you and we will continue to thrive because of each of you. We hope you will continue to visit us and we always look forward to seeing all of you.
