Gila Regional Medical Center needs our help!
Do You Sew?
Like hospitals all over the country, GRMC needs PPE -- Personal Protective Equipment for our Doctors and Nurses, for ALL our skilled caregivers.
So I am calling on Grant County Residents who can sew MASKS at home to HELP.
I have contacted GRMC. They already need masks and may need gowns shortly. They are seeking donations of materials and funding to buy materials: fabric, thread, elastic.
Do you sew? Are you willing join us in making masks? Do you have scraps you can use? I hope to have an approved pattern and fabric specifications by Monday. I'll identify a pick-up/drop-off location then.
GRMC anticipates that they can stockpile what we make when this pandemic is over, and use them, if needed, in the future.
I am working to organize this effort. I anticipate that many hands will make light work. I hope you will join us. (It seems I needed something to fill the gap left by closing Vicki's.)
