Last weekend we served over 400 people in two days with our crew of 3!!

On Friday , we were back for a second year catering for the Cuivre River Electric employee appreciation event.
We then followed that up with a wedding reception on Saturday for around 250 people.
So as you can imagine, we were very limited on time and have no pictures of either event . So here’s a picture of me and my dog not trusting you.

Running the live fire grill is a hot job, but since I , myself , am a bit of a hottie , I feel like I was made for it. 😬

Also the music sucks because FB limits reels on business pages to the worst possible options.

This week we took the live fire grill out on its maiden voyage. We are still running with training wheels on at this point but we are definitely getting the hang of it and most importantly, the timing.

I’m so happy how this thing turned out and can’t wait to see what meals we can churn out on this thing.

The word “charcuterie” has to be one of the most confusing , mispronounced words in the English language! I have never heard a word get mispronounced so many ways and so wrong, and this weekend was no different. A couple of my faves are shark -coochie, char-choochie, charch, and every other variation you can think of .
We catered a 50th wedding anniversary over the weekend where we served dinner and rolled out a grazing table ( the easy way to say charcuterie).

50 years is an amazing feat by any standard, but did you know that only 5% of marriages make it 50 years!

Congrats to Henebry’s on their anniversary. May you have many more!

Saturday morning buggy ride to support the Silex locals .
We stopped at The Farmstand - Silex, MO to grab some pumpkin cinnamon rolls and a homemade oatmeal cream pie. Then on to Morning Bloom Coffee Co. for the wife to get a coffee before heading back to the house to start cooking for the Hawk Point elementary dinner auction tonight .

We had an extremely busy weekend . We catered 2 events on Friday , a golf tournament for Troy Chamber of Commerce and that evening we were back for another year of Pioneer seeds field day.
Saturday night we broke out the live fire grill for the Hawk Point Athletic association auction winners. Which just so happen to be some folks we know. So due to their extremely kind bid , we invited them out to the Big Timber Cocina to have their dinner . It was a great time and gave me some practice on the new grill.
We made ribeye steaks and shrimp for the entree . Grilled shrimp quesadillas with a grilled shrimp topper for an appetizer. Sides included roasted potatoes , squash and zucchini medley , bacon wrapped asparagus, Cajun mushrooms and bacon , and green beans. We topped it off with grilled cinnamon sugar pineapple for dessert.

The name may say “bbq and Tex-mex” but we are way more than pulled pork and tacos!

The best meals aren’t just eaten . They are experienced.

I know we have dropped some teasers about big things coming this year. Well one of them is here and we are loving it.
Let me introduce to you our fully custom live fire pit. It’s made for a cooking experience, more than just a meal.

We will be offering this as an option on our catering menu in the months to come. It will be for more intimate gatherings to start with , probably 30 or 40 people.Then we may be able to expand once we get everything dialed in.

That being said, we will be offering this at a very discounted price to anyone who is interested in trying it out, so we can get some reps under our belt before head out into the world. We prefer around 10 to 20 people to start with.

So if you having a small get together and are interested in our live fire experience reach out and we can go over some details.

They say size doesn’t matter , but as men , we are often judged by the size of our tongs. By men and women alike. They will see us with our tongs out and say things like , I thought it would be bigger, or I don’t feel like he is using his tongs to their full potential, or he can barely even flip that meat with those little tongs .

That’s why I had to step my tong game up and get the Donkey Long Tongs. Now I have the biggest tongs at the party! They even have a bottle opener where you can hang them , but be careful if it’s windy , you don’t want too many swinging tongs around , or it may get awkward!

These are actually just part of a new addition to our lineup that you will be seeing very soon.
