Today we said goodbye to Barley, Jesse & Kelly’s beloved family dog and Ten Mile’s brew dog. 🖤
In the early years, if you spent any time at Ten Mile, there’s a good chance you met him, sprawled out on the floor keeping watch over the taproom. He was family to all of us and his big presence will never be forgotten.
In honor of our boy, we will soon re-brew and bottle our American Barleyw**e, “The Barley”. Rest easy big guy, thanks for being, well … a legend. 🤍🐾

Part two from Yakima! Day 1, Dan and Jesse sniffed their way to our hops. Day 2, they got to see harvest up close: bines in, cones out, straight to the kiln. And yes, the farm has bison.

Well, that’s one way to start a Sunday. Two guys broke into our Signal Hill taproom early this morning, and it’s not the first time.

For those of you who keep leaving one-star reviews about us not taking cash: we totally get it, and we’re frustrated too! But this is exactly why we can’t. No cash on site means nothing worth grabbing. Thankfully, the worst of it was the damage they left behind.

We’re still here and still pouring! Thanks for always having our backs, Signal Hill 🍻

This week Dan and Jesse are in Yakima, Washington for hop selection! 🌿👃

Thanks to both Yakima Chief Hops and Hollingbery & Son Hops teams for having us!

About three out of every four American hops grow in the Yakima Valley, and the same variety can smell totally different depending on the farm, the field, and even the week it was picked (Citra picked too late can go full onion 🧅). So we go smell for ourselves. Rub, sniff, take notes, repeat, until we find the lots that taste like Ten Mile.

These hops hand-picked by us will go straight into next year’s brews. Trail Marker fans, you’ll want to stick around 👀

We were absolutely blown away by the turnout this year. After 9 years of hosting Oktoberfest, this was our biggest year yet for participation across all of our games and competitions!

A special thanks to the amazing breweries that came out to pour with us and a special thanks to our all our sponsors for this year’s games! 🐾🪚🌭🍺

🇩🇪 Sept. 19th from 11am-4pm we’re celebrating our annual Oktoberfest in a whole new way! We’re combing our typical two events to one big bash in LADERA this year! We’ll be back in Signal Hill next year to celebrate an incredible 10 years!

We’re also bringing in a few of our friends for an awesome Biergarten of 8+ b**r and w**e vendors! You can expect to see some OC staples like Docent Brewing and RŌM B**r Co. and even our Long Beach friends Long Beach B**r Lab 🍻
