Good day friends

We wanted to take time and update everyone where we are with the whole COVID mess and our plans on navigating through this. Effective this weekend we will be changing our hours as follows. We will only be open for regular business Friday, Saturday and Sunday our normal hours of operation. What we are hearing through local outlets is that the current restrictions will probably stay in place throughout most of the summer. We are going to use the spring and summer months to grow the mobile and catering side of our business, as well as private parties for folks. We know this will be a disappointment for many of our loyal patrons and we apologize for this inconvenience. We plan to be out and about on a regular basis with our mobile unit and hope to be able to see most and the folks we have come to think of as family. If you have an event or a business that you would like to see us show up to maybe during a break or lunch period, reach out to us and we will try and make it work. Thanks everyone for your continued support.

We have received many call’s and well wishes during the last week since the latest shutdown order from the Governor. First I want to thank everyone for checking on us. Rest assured we are well, not pleased with the circumstances but we are trying to be understanding. We will not be joining the growing debate over the Governor’s authority. We have been very blessed these last years by all the love and support from our community, and good stewards of our resources. We are approaching this as a blessing as well. We have decided to spend these next two weeks enjoying the holidays with our families and staying safe. There is no price that can be put on that. We would never had made this decision for ourselves, because retail is a very hard business and there’s never time off. So we are going to embrace this time with our loved ones and rejuvenate ourselves to get ready for what will be challenging times for us all next year rebuilding our lives. Blessings to all of you and a joyous Christmas season.

As a business owner one has to stay neutral about most things and not offer many opinions about stuff. Having to watch our shattered business close again today makes being silent difficult. Do I understand all of it? NO! Do I agree with all of it? NO! Will I obey the guidelines? YES! Why? Because it’s the right thing to do, personal feelings aside. I have met and spoken with so many people these last months. And I do get it. I understand how both sides feel about COVID-19. You either care greatly or you don’t give a crap and thinks it’s a con. I watch every day as people come into our place of business and won’t do what has been asked of them. Why? Because it’s our right not to wear a mask, it’s our right to visit with our friends, it’s our right to sit and act as we want. I get that. I really really do. So much so that I went to fight for this country of ours so we could have those rights. But what about the rights of the other half, or the other side. The ones who feel you offended them and endangered them because you’re not wearing a mask cause you don’t want too and nobody is going to make you. What about that business owner who just wants to be able to survive and be able to keep their business open. I also fight for them, and guess what many, many folks have let them down, and now you get the results. CLOSED! Now everyone wants to jump in there and say you don’t have to listen, you can fight it. Most of us have exhausted most of our resources and energy just being able to make it during this mess. Last time I checked court cost and lawyer fees were not free. Not to mention it’s just the right thing for a responsible person to do. Everyone wants to right over the presidential election results. Well you know what we elected this governor too and this is what he’s asked of us. If it’s all a con we’ll I guess we’ve been conned. If it’s for real then we done our part to help protect others and most importantly our families.

We are required by State government to inform our customers of policies and procedures they put in place regarding COVID-19. The Governor has ordered LCB and the Department of Agriculture to go out and enforce his mask policy within Bars and Restaurants. He has ordered them to cite owners as well as patrons in violation of his mandate. We don’t feel it’s our responsibility to enforce this for the State. We as owners and employees are doing are best to follow the procedures put in place. This in no way relates how we feel about the issues. If it helps and keeps our family members safe how have underlying health issues then great. If there’s really nothing to all this then it’s just inconvenienced is a bit. Oh well! Had worst things during my life to worry about. So there you have it. I posted the Governor’s policy about mask inside during dining. Customers are to be in masks unless seated at their table. Patrons will see this policy posted at the restaurant when visiting. That is as far as we take this. We are all adults and can make our own choices and as adults accept the consequences of our actions.
