Happy New Year to everyone and best wishes for 2025. Let's prepare for the upcoming Year of the Snake, which commences at the end of the month.
It's truly wonderful that we can celebrate a new journey, creating lasting memories. The practice of tai chi serves as a means for us to remain calm and foster harmony among friends and family.
This year, we will focus on sharing the significance of the five elements. Please feel free to visit Chi Life, join us for tea, and explore the educational aspects of this internal, invisible medicine.
Tai chi, poetry, and motion flow like a river, as still as a mountain. You are invited to visit Chi Life on Mondays and Thursdays at 6 PM and Saturday mornings at 9 AM.
Experience traditional Tai Chi for healing and meditation. I have had the privilege of studying in Taiwan, Singapore, Malaysia, and mainland China under the guidance of renowned masters.
One master I would like to acknowledge is Grandmaster Liu Yunqiao, founder of Wu Tan and disciple of Li Shuwen. He is notable for his role in spreading Bajiquan and Chinese Martial Arts.
Grandmaster Liu Yunqiao was also the teacher of the famous Master Adam Hsu, who lived in San Francisco, America.
I rarely discuss my affiliations or the masters I trained under. The reason for this is that some practitioners utilize the names of their teachers or masters to gain recognition, which I find understandable.
However, I disagree with those who use a master's name without being able to represent their skills accordingly.
I believe it is acceptable to share one's achievements, but when one's movements are subpar, it is an insult to the master's name.
I do not intend to be mean-spirited or insulting; I believe some of you will understand my perspective. They are using the name of an excellent master to imply that they are on the same level or near.
Let us remember our responsibility in this century: to expand, create, and explore deeper levels of this art. Although it was created in ancient times, it remains relevant today.
Thank you for taking the time to relate. Please share your comments.

P.S. When someone refers to me as Master Clarke, it reminds me to master my ego, conceit, arrogance, and fear ☯️.
