Our bakers are busy long before most of Sheridan is awake, making everything from scratch. And some of that delicious food makes its way out of our café and onto tables all around town.

Breakfast meetings, office lunches, family gatherings, or whatever you might be planning. We’d love to help with the food!

And of course, we can bring the coffee too.

Community is one of the things we value most at Java Moon.

And when we talk about community, we mean all of it.

The people who walk through our doors, order their favorite drink or meal, or trust us with catering for their gatherings.

And the people who ARE Java Moon.

The baristas who learn your drink and remember your name. The bakers who are there making the breads, muffins, scones and sweet treats you see in the case every morning. The managers who lead our teams. And all of the people behind the scenes who work hard every single day to make Java Moon a place where people can gather, eat really good food and feel welcome.

We spend a lot of time together. And if community is something we say matters to us, then we want to make sure we’re building it within our own team, too.

So last week, we closed the shops, brought our families along and went out to just enjoy each other.

We wandered through the pumpkin patch at Koltiska’s, picked pumpkins, laughed a lot, took way too many pictures and then headed to Powder River Pizza for dinner.

We also got to step outside of our own small business for an afternoon and support two other local businesses while they did what they do best.

No coffee to make. No orders waiting. No rush.

Just our Java Moon community getting a little time together.

To every person who shows up each day and makes Java Moon what it is—thank you. We appreciate you more than you know.

The best part of the morning might be happening behind our bakery counter.

Tehya is in the back pulling cinnamon rolls, breads and quiches from the oven, and before long that smell has made its way through the whole shop.

Up front, the espresso machine is going. Drinks are being made one at a time. People are coming in for their usual, finding a table, catching up with someone they know or just settling in for a little while.

That’s one of my favorite things about Java Moon.

You can come in for a cup of coffee or something fresh from the bakery, but I hope you also feel like you can stay. Sit down. Warm up. Take your time.

We want Java Moon to be the kind of place that can simply become part of your day.

And on a cool fall morning in downtown Sheridan, that sounds pretty good.

One of my favorite things about Java Moon is that you can walk in and actually stay awhile.

Jacey might be behind the bar making your drink exactly how you like it. Our baristas are crafting each drink to order, our kitchen is making food from scratch, and there is usually someone sitting nearby catching up with a friend, having a meeting, reading, or just taking a little break in the middle of the day.

That is the part of Java Moon I never want us to lose.

Yes, you can absolutely run in, grab your coffee and keep going. But you can also come in, order something made just for you, find a table, have lunch, stay for another cup and make Java Moon part of your day.

We would love to have you in today.

Sometimes you just want something fresh that still feels like a real meal.

Our Harvest Moon Salad has quickly become one of my favorite things on the menu. Seasoned chicken, crisp apples, feta, pumpkin seeds, a drizzle of honey, and our homemade signature dressing all come together so well.

It’s fresh, filling, a little sweet, a little savory — and such a good change of pace when you’re craving something other than your usual lunch.

This crew makes us laugh every single day.

There is a lot that goes into working at Java Moon, but one of the things we love most is the people. The friendships, the conversations, the busy shifts, the inside jokes… and yes, the coffee.

We are hiring baristas at Java Moon right now, and more than anything, we’re looking for the right people to join this team.

People who work hard, are kind, enjoy people, and want to be part of what we are building here.

And yes… the shift drink is a pretty good perk too.
