People really don’t see the amount of hard work that goes into perfecting what we do.
We don’t just want Chum Chariot to be a stop for food, drinks and desserts. We want people to FEEL something. We want people to remember us by the experience. We have spent half of our lives in this industry, pouring into others because honestly, that’s what makes our hearts full. And it sucks that we now live in a world where creativity and originality are just snatched out from underneath you. And then they go to whoever because some Joe Shmo used what you worked so tirelessly to create. But at the same time, we also understand that if you don’t evolve, you die. However, we’ll probably always stick to doing things the old fashioned way 😉 So no, it’s not easy. Even if people say it is. It’s not easy because it is OUR LIVES, and we put our whole souls into it. Creating drink combinations, new foods and names. Learning constantly. Researching constantly. Making sure our flavors and syrups are STRICTLY clean label because that matters to us. We absolutely do not go the typical syrup route and honestly, some people may think that’s crazy, expense wise at least, but we don’t. We care deeply about what we hand people through our window. Some event nights may end at 11pm 12am or even 1/2am but not for us. Ours may not end until 4am because my brain genuinely never shuts off from this. There’s always another idea, another concept, another thing to learn, another way to perfect the experience. To us, this was never supposed to be “just” food. And we hope people can feel that!!🫶🏼
