Happy Holiday's!!
I need to share some news with all the teams and Judges for March 2022.
We will be taking a break for March 2022 and not holding our annual BBQ double.
This decision did not come easy with this being our 10th Year.

Stayed Tuned for updates on 2023 or maybe even something later in the year, who knows what 2022 will bring us.

Keep the smoke rolling and stay safe out on the road this coming year.

Wow what a great weekend of BBQ!

I really questioned myself on doing another contest after 2020 and really thought about hanging it up.
What a mistake that would have been.
I can not thank the FireLake crew Megan -Karla-Mike M- Kat- Melanie- Sarah and everyone else that picks up my slack durning BBQ week and the ones I work with daily for the support and the dedication to make the contest great.
To David Qualls and the Arena staff along with house keeping -electrical- water would not be possible without all of you doing your part.
Teams I hope you had a great time this past weekend.
It was great to meet all the new teams as many of them I followed over the years and hoped that some day they would give the contest a try.
To our returning teams it was so good to see you all as you know you have become family and friends over the years and this crazy weekend would not be possible with out all of you.
Thank you to our amazing reps from KCBS and Big shout out to the Turkey Federation for the partnership.
Thanks to all our other sponsors for the continued support.

Big News this morning!
FireLake has been selected to host the Turkey Smoke for the upcoming double.
We will have turn in for this event March 20th after KCBS portion.
Times will be decided soon and will post them as well.
If you are wanting to get in on this event please let me know asap so I can secure enough Turkey Breast for everyone.
Prize Money is $1000.00 paying 1st through 5th but you know how we do it around here so might be some extra money added.
