I should have mentioned in my post the status of Tim’s son Blake many of you may remember. Blake is now living with his Aunt Dixie and her husband and kids back in Mississippi. Blake had witnessed first hand Tim’s declining health over the last few months so Tim’s passing didn’t come as a shock I don’t think. Blake is with family and should do well.

Hello everyone. Derek here. As many of you may have heard my friend and SYBBQ partner Tim Beaver passed away January 30th peacefully at home. Not sure the exact cause but it was deemed cardiac arrest. Tim made it thru lung cancer but was diagnosed with pneumonia about a week before his death. Tim will be buried next to his wife back home in Mississippi. Sorry for the sad news.

I can’t remember the names of those health care providers in Pittsburgh when I was in the hospital there back in July, but they all started following my page and I told them when I got better I would smoke some bbq and ribs, well I went from stage 4 lung cancer to cancer free in 6 months and when spring gets here and I have my strength back I will keep my promise and have bbq pulled pork and ribs! So keep watching for the dates

There’s been a bit of confusion as to who is sick, Derek is just fine folks it’s me Tim that has cancer but I’m recovering well and I’m coming home early next week hopefully I’ll be ready for our next event in August at the Methodist church but I say again Derek is just fine.

I’m away for a little while, I am in West Penn Hospital fighting lung cancer but I’m winning and I will be back soon. Got to you guys need pulled pork and ribs and I need to make it for you. These folks over here are great people and great at their jobs so I will be there soon.

Ok thanks for everything today folks! I have completely sold out of ribs and still have about 10 pounds of pulled pork left, I will be out here for another 45 minutes so don’t miss out

The pork butts are on the smoker and man do they smell good 😊. Reminder that tomorrow from 2-5 pm I will have pulled pork and baby back ribs at my house, if you don’t know where I live just pm me and I will send you my address and starting the third Saturday of July I will do this every other weekend

I know in my last post I said we would be serving in Boliver but my health will not permit me to do it, I have a lot of trouble breathing these days and I will do what I did last year and serve from my home. Friday June 23 from 2-5 pm I will have pulled pork by the pound and ribs, after that I will post a week ahead of time when I will do it again. Right now I’m trying to raise enough funds so my son and I can take a trip home for the 4th of July to see our family after that week I will start to try and serve at least 3 weekends a month. See y’all Friday afternoon
