The Fall Wedding Frenzy has officially begun in the Smokies! 🍂🤍
To all of our fellow wedding vendors gearing up for the early mornings, late nights, sore feet, cold coffee and the inevitable moment when somebody asks, “Does anyone have zip ties?”… here we go.
October wedding season in the Smoky Mountains is beautiful — but those beautiful wedding days don’t just magically happen.
They happen because florists are up to their elbows in buckets of flowers. Photographers are chasing the last five minutes of golden light - and the tiny flower girl who refuses to stay still during family photos. Videographers capturing the voices, laughter and little moments our couples will want to hear again twenty years from now. Hair and makeup teams are working before most people have even found the coffee pot. DJs are reading the room and keeping everybody on the dance floor. Bakers are transporting intricately decorated cakes through mountain roads while holding their breath around every curve. Rental crews are hauling, unloading, building and tearing it all back down again. Venue teams are answering a hundred questions and solving problems before anyone realizes there was a problem to begin with.
And somewhere in the middle of all of it, you’ll find us caterers hauling hot boxes, setting tables, decorating and setting buffets, counting dinner forks for the fourth time, feeding hungry people and praying somebody remembered to pack the chafing fuel.
There are SO many hands behind a wedding day.
The beautiful weddings our couples experience aren’t created by one vendor. They happen because a whole group of people brings their own talent, experience and little piece of the day together. But what we appreciate even more are the things our couples never see. The venue staff who says, "I can handle that.” The photographer who helps move a chair. The bartender who makes sure the vendors stay hydrated. The coordinator who finds the vases for the bouquets. The florist who fixes something that technically isn’t her problem. The laughs we share in the kitchen, loading area or back hallway when we’re all running on caffeine, carbohydrates and determination. Those little moments of teamwork are what make a good vendor team great. And if we’ve done our jobs right, our couples never know about any of it. They simply look around on their wedding day and see something beautiful.
So to all of our Smoky Mountain wedding vendor friends heading into the busiest part of fall wedding season: We see you. We appreciate you. And we are genuinely grateful that we get to create beautiful things alongside you.
May your October run as smoothly as that second Pumpkin Spice Latte you grabbed at Starbucks at 5 a.m. because the first one clearly wasn’t enough. 🤣
