We are a small, takeout coffee store, that serves our neighborhood in Severna Park, Maryland. The Big Bean sells coffee beans if you prefer to brew your coffee at home! The Big Bean is a one-of-a-kind coffee store, not a franchise or corporate coffee company. It's filled with unusual gift items, fabulous 'novel teas', delicious gourmet goodies and even treats for the doggies who are walking on the

B & A Trail. In planning The Big Bean, my concept was to create a friendly place that was unpretentious. So many people are afraid to order a coffee drink because they are intimidated by the coffee lingo. For example, we have 3 cup sizes; small, medium & large. You don't have to speak Italian to enjoy a great espresso drink at The Big Bean!

What can I say about Marlow and Keegan. These two upended their lives and spent the last 4+ weeks living with the new owners of The Big Bean at the Beach (an experience that could be a reality show on its own 😂). They worked HARD to help Cooper get the store stocked and decorated, employees trained, and worked through all the kinks of opening a new store. Absolute rock stars, and we want to publicly thank you Marlow and Keegan. Love you two to the beach and back…COULD NOT HAVE DONE IT WITHOUT YOU!! (I asked them to send “a” nice picture 😆

The Big Bean at the Beach buildout was our 3rd project with FM Display concepts in New Jersey. Owner / Operator Adam Mucci (a former Sopranos actor and personal friend) works directly with the customer, helping design each element of these bars, which are custom made in Italy. The Big Bean at the Beach is open for business (699 Bethany Loop, Ocean View Community). We’re not on the boardwalk…we’re not on the main drag…we’re IN the community. The Big Bean started with Deb Hoffman’s dream. 25 years later this “Mom & Pop” coffee shop has grown to 4 locations and we’ve brought in another family (the Linsenbiglers) to help us bring our cheery vibe to Bethany Beach Delaware.
