I want to sincerely apologize to everyone who came in this evening and experienced longer waits and/or service that fell short of the standard I expect at Heidi Lou’s Mexique.

As a chef and restaurant owner, I hold myself and my team to a very high standard, not just when it comes to the food coming out of my kitchen, but also the service that comes with it. Today, we fell short.
We had been slow for several hours, sent staff home early who live further away for safety due to the storm, and while I stepped away to pick up my son from practice, we suddenly went from empty to a full house.
We were completely caught off guard by the unexpected rush, and unfortunately, we weren’t prepared to handle it the way we should have.
When I returned and saw what was happening, I made the decision to shut things down for the night. I know that wasn’t what anyone wanted, but I’d rather stop and regroup than continue serving people when we weren’t meeting the standard we promise.

To everyone who came in today, especially those who waited: I am truly sorry, and I appreciate your patience and understanding.
I take this place, our food, and our service very seriously. We will learn from today and do better.

I truly don’t understand the hate and continued vandalism of our restaurant. We work our butts off y’all… We’re averaging close to 80 hrs a week to try and bring great food and kind service to the area, and we continue to have folks destroy our property. To the person who came through and destroyed all of our signs, broke them in half and stole our belongings… I truly pray you get the help you need. I pray you lose the hate within you, the anger, and that you return our belongings. No weapon formed against us will prosper! 🙏🏼

Sold out! Closed! Exhausted! 🤣 Wow!!! That was a strong 6 month anniversary. 🙏🏼 This community has been so good to us! Y’all wiped us out today, and we are grateful for it. 👏🏽 We were down 2 today and still pulled it off. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for the kindness and patience. ♥️ We love you all, and we will see ya again on Wednesday. 🙌🏽
