The first Tuesday of the month always means new food specials here at KBC. This month, like always, our kitchen has some amazing new dishes for you to try and get you into the fall mood. October’s new specials are:

* The Hash-Slinging Smasher—Double-Patty Smash Burger on a Toasted Hokkaido Bun with Crispy Hash Brown, Fried Egg, Bacon, Cheddar Cheese, and White Gravy. Served with Fries.
* Thai Chicken Sandwich—Our Classic Chicken Sandwich Dowsed with Thai Peanut Satay Sauce on a Toasted Hokkaido Bun with Bean Sprout Slaw. Served with Chips.
* Cajun Shrimp Alfredo—Blackened Shrimp & Andouille Sausage in a Spicy Cajun Alfredo Sauce, served over Linguine Pasta.
* Appalachian Salad—Spinach Salad with Dried Montmorency Cherries, Diced Apple, Feta Cheese, Toasted Walnuts, Pumpkin Seeds and Chai Vinaigrette.

2 weeks from today we have the opportunity to host the Fort Hill Clemson Club and Clemson Women’s Basketball Coach, Shawn Poppie, at Keowee Brewing Company and we couldn’t be more excited! 2 years ago was the first time we were able to host Coach Poppie and it’s safe to say that everyone in the room knew there was something special about the Women’s Basketball Team at that moment.

In only 2 seasons as head coach of the Clemson Women’s Basketball Team, Shawn Poppie has collected 35 wins, including 21 wins last season (first time in 25 years for Clemson) and 11 conference wins last season (first time in 27 years). The season last year was capped off with a HUGE win over 9th-ranked Duke. Join us Sunday, October 18th, from 7-9PM for chance to hear directly from Coach Poppie about what makes Clemson Women’s Basketball so exciting and where the program is heading in the future.

Our taproom hours for the day will be 12-6PM to give us time to set up for this ticketed event from 7-9PM. There are only a few tickets left, so get one quick if you want to join. Tickets are $60 per person and include heavy hors’ d’oeuvres, 2 drink tickets, and a $30 donation to the FHCC Academic Scholarship Endowment. Happy First Friday of October. By now everyone knows what that means at KBC…it’s First Friday Fish & Chips Day! We got more fresh Cod in today than we ever have, but we still expect it to sell out quickly. If you have your heart set on getting some of our famous Fish & Chips, the earlier you can get here the better chances you have. We open at 11AM every Friday now for all of your lunch needs!

This weekend we have 2 more amazing musicians joining us for live music. Tonight we have Amy Kincaid bringing the tunes from 6:30-8:30PM and Saturday night we have Angela Easterling brining the tunes at a special time from 5:30-7:30PM leading up to another Tigers football kickoff.

As everyone is gearing up for their football plans tomorrow remember that you can always stop by KBC and grab some crowlers for your tailgate or party. If you are looking for somewhere dry to watch the game and hang out throughout the day on Saturday we have you covered (quite literally). We will have football games on all day inside and under the covered patio outside tomorrow. Catch some good football games while enjoying some KBC great beverages and food from our kitchen.

Of course we are also open on Sunday if you want to grab some food & beverages while enjoying NFL football or a more chill afternoon at KBC. We’re here for all of it!

Roll out the barrel!! Come have a barrel of fun this weekend at KBC. We’re celebrating Oktoberfest all weekend long. Starting Friday our kitchen is serving our world-famous Smoked Reuben Sandwich and we will be selling them all weekend long until we run out. On Saturday our kitchen will turn up the Oktoberfest fun and also be serving B**r-Braised Bratwursts & Pork Schnitzel with Spatzel.
◇
In addition to the Oktoberfest food specials we will also have special guest Liam back with us serving his Liam-aid (Lemonade). All of the proceeds from the Liam-aid sales go to Oconee Humane Society. The Liam-aid will be available all day (until we sell out), but Liam will be serving all of the Liam-aid starting at 2PM on Saturday. If you want to make it even more special you can make a German Radler by making it half Kolsch and half Liam-aid. We will also be playing Hammerschlagen all afternoon to raise more funds for OHS. Come out and test your skill against all of your friends.

And it wouldn’t be Oktoberfest without some amazing music. Friday night we have the incredibly talented Halem Albright bringing the great tunes. Saturday we have a very special treat with Paul Kinas playing festive accordion music from 4-6PM and Amongst the Trees closing down the night from 6:30-8:30PM.

Last, but not least, we will have plenty of German b**r flowing as well as all of your other fan favorites all weekend. We do still have some of our amazing Teku Oktoberfest mugs available to purchase also. Stop out this weekend and enjoy all of the festivities with us!

In just a few short weeks we get to welcome International Comedian Zane Lamprey back to KBC on October 10th! He’s been a favorite TV Host and Comedian of ours for at least 15 years and we are honored that Zane calls Seneca one of his favorite places to do stand up (and he’s been to 72 countries - that’s saying something!)

◇ We’re over halfway through the month of September, which means the September specials are more than halfway done too. This weekend we are hosting two amazing musicians that we don’t get to have around KBC very often. Friday night is Jeff Holley. Jeff is a newer musician to KBC but has instantly gained a following and we are thrilled to welcome him back. Saturday is BJ Callahan, the front-man of Amongst the Trees. It’s not often that we have BJ solo at KBC and we are also thrilled that he will be back with the full band next weekend for our Oktoberfest celebrations on Saturday night. Music this weekend will be from 6:30-8:30PM both nights.

This weekend is another Clemson home game. The game starts a little earlier this weekend at 12:00PM, so make sure you stock up on all of your KBC crowlers for tailgating tonight. Then make your way to KBC after the game for additional food, beverages and entertainment. We’ll have all of the other games on this weekend on our indoor and outdoor TVs also!

We have another busy weekend upon us. We’ll try to give you all of the details quickly. Tonight we get to welcome another relatively new musician back to the KBC stage for some great live music. Join us tonight as J. Stephens brings the live tunes from 6:30-8:30PM. If you missed his first show you definitely don’t want to miss out on seeing him this time around.

Tomorrow is Jeepfest hosted by the City of Seneca just across the street from us. Jeepfest runs tomorrow from 12-4PM and we will be open normal hours from 11AM-9PM. Take a quick walk over to KBC for all of your food and beverage needs. We’ll also have College Football on all of the screens all day if you need to catch up on some scores.

Stick around after Jeepfest for live music at a special time. Billy Bauer will be hitting the sage from 5:30-7:30PM leading up to the kickoff of Clemson’s first home game of the season. After the live music you can also stick around for the first half of the Clemson game.

We are also starting to sell our brand new Teku Oktoberfest Mugs starting today. We were fortunate enough to get some of these beauties before they sold out from the manufacturer. Since we will be serving out of plastic cups on our Oktoberfest day (September 26th) you can go ahead and grab yours now and bring it along on the 26th to pour your b**r in your glass, or keep it safe at home, if you prefer. We didn’t get a ton, so we can’t guarantee they will still be around by September 26th.

The party must go on! We got word this morning that Matt Lund is sick and not able to make it this evening for the Jimmy Buffett tribute. We hope he feels better soon! In the meantime, Billy Bauer and Chad Rawlings have graciously stepped up to save the day and we cannot thank them enough! Chad and Billy will be putting together a fun set this evening that will incorporate Jimmy Buffett and other beach music as originally planned. Join us for an unforgettable, once-in-a-lifetime show tonight!

Also, today is the First Friday of the month which means Fish & Chips. We ordered ALL of the fresh cod our vendor had this month in hopes that it will last longer than last month, but there is no guarantee. The earlier you can get here to order the fish & chips, the better your chances are of getting some before it sells out. Even if it does sell out, we can promise you won’t be disappointed with anything else on our amazing menu. Check out our awesome September Specials if you haven’t yet!

Tomorrow is Clemson’s first football game of the season with kickoff at 7:30PM. Doug McDonald will be in house to bring some amazing live music at a special time tomorrow. Music will be from 5-7PM on Saturday to lead up to the Clemson kickoff. Stop out for an amazing afternoon of music, food and drinks. Then stick around for some college football in the evening!

Sunday we will be open normal hours (12-8PM) for a more casual day at KBC. Monday, Labor Day, we will be open extended hours (12-9PM). Stop out on your day off for a day of fun. Dave will also be hosting Dolly Parton “9-5” Trivia on Monday starting at 6:30PM.

As we head into the weekend we wanted to let everyone know My Blood Runs Orange is officially back on tap! We ran out of it last weekend, but already had more fermenting, and knew we had to get it back on tap before Clemson’s first game of the season. Whether you are planning to head south for the game, host a tailgate party at home, or watch the game at KBC you won’t be without your favorite b**r by your side!

Today we are also putting a brand new Seltzer on tap—High Seas. This seltzer was brewed with Blackberries and Mango and turned out to be the best “fruit punch” flavor we could have hoped for. We hope you enjoy it as much as we do and it will be around for tomorrow’s Jimmy Buffet night here at KBC.

We also want to take a moment to give a HUGE shoutout to one of our loyal customers who is also a very talented woodworker, Dwight. Dwight made some amazing new standing tables from a white oak tree that fell in his yard during Hurricane Helene 2 years ago. He gave the tree a new life as these beautiful tables with our KBC logo inlayed in them. Gone are the days of our rickety “OG” tables that we built in haste when we had to find more room for people to set their b**rs. They served their purpose, but we are thrilled to have some new, beautiful, and quality crafted tables from such a good person! Thank you again, Dwight!
