This morning, I was looking at my ferns and thinking about how much it has changed. The older leaves had started falling off, leaving some stems looking like nothing but sticks. But when I began to prune it, I soon noticed new leaves coming in. 🌿

It made me think about how God works in our lives. The pruning season can feel painful, and we may not understand what He’s doing. But even when things look bare, God can still bring forth new life.

I’m learning to thank Him for what was, embrace what is, and trust Him for what’s still to come.
What looks like an ending may be the beginning of a new season of growth. 💚🙌🏽

Part 3 of Kye’s Story

I was getting ready to become an empty nester. My children were grown, and I thought, ‘Okay, Lord… it’s finally about to be me and my husband.’

But God had a completely different plan.

He placed a little boy in our lives who would eventually become our son.

And suddenly, instead of becoming an empty nester, I was starting all over again.

What I’ve learned is that sometimes we spend so much time planning what we think our lives are supposed to look like that we don’t realize God has already written another chapter.
