Dear Community,
As the owner and sole operator of the El Ranchito Restaurant Seguin,TX Restaurant, I have made the difficult decision to close the family restaurant that my late husband’s grandmother, Juanita Cardenas, opened in 1935. While I wish our family legacy could continue, after 89 years of having the opportunity to serve the community, this is not just feasible and Saturday, February 17, 2024, was the final day of business.
The employees provided emotional and physical support when I lost my husband Danny DeLaGarza and our eldest son, Jon DeLaGarza. This support has meant so much to me personally and has also helped the restaurant. Unfortunately, I have recently faced a health issue that has forced me to prioritize my well-being.
It has been a challenging time, but I want to express my gratitude to the local community for their unwavering loyalty and support over the past few years.
Although I wish to continue our family legacy, I am unable to physically manage day-to-day operations. While this decision has been difficult for me, I have been advised that it is in my best interest.
I express my gratitude and will always cherish the memories, love, and support we received from our loyal customers and other local businesses who have supported El Ranchito Restaurant for all these years.
