Have you heard the news? Apparently some Boston bars are running low on beer thanks to all the World Cup visitors flooding the city! 🍺⚽

What many people don’t know about The Black Goose Tavern is that it all started with one man’s dream.

Not a franchise. Not a chain restaurant. Not a business backed by investors or a corporate office.

Just one man willing to put everything on the line to build something of his own.

A dream of opening a restaurant. A dream of creating a place where friends and family could gather. A dream of building something meaningful that could one day be passed down to his children and grandchildren.

Most of you know him as Steve. My brother and I know him as Dad. And these little guys know him as Jaju.

The Black Goose Tavern may be his dream come to life, but if you ask him what his favorite part of it all is, it isn’t the restaurant, the food, or even the business itself. It’s being able to share it with his family, especially his grandchildren.

These two are just 2 of his 5 grandkids, and watching them grow up around something he built from the ground up means more to him than words can say.

Every meal served, every beer poured, every laugh shared in our dining room is part of a dream that started with a leap of faith and a whole lot of hard work.

Thank you all for supporting not just a restaurant, but a family dream that continues to grow every day. ❤️🖤🪿

We took a half-pound hot dog… wrapped it in bacon… deep fried it… stuffed it into a toasted bun… then buried it under chili, cheese, coleslaw, and green onion.

Ever wonder why that first sip of beer at The Black Goose Tavern tastes so crisp, cold, and refreshing?

Because every other Monday morning, before the doors even open, we’re cleaning every single one of our draft lines.

Most people don’t realize beer lines should be cleaned every 2–4 weeks to keep beer tasting exactly the way the brewer intended. A dirty line can completely change the flavor of a great beer, and that’s just not something we’re willing to serve.

Which is your favorite draft?

As beer lovers ourselves, we know there’s nothing better than sitting down after a long day with an ice-cold pint that tastes clean, fresh, and perfectly poured.

It’s one of those little behind-the-scenes things you may never see… but it’s one of the many ways we make sure every pour is our best pour.
