Happy Pride Month!! Be sure to support our local LGBTQIA+ non-profits, small businesses and orgs who make our community vibrant, welcoming and inclusive. Professionals with Pride (PwP) is a great local resource if you are looking for businesses or services to support!

I also just want to say that I am so proud and thankful to employ some amazing LGBTQIA+ folks, both current and former, who have help shape our space over the years. I have learned so much about being a better human and business owner because of your vulnerability, and it is has helped shape our space to be a beautiful community living room. We have always strived to be a diverse and welcoming space in as many ways as possible, and it truly begins with our team. 🌈 💕 We are always looking to continue to diversify our team and give back to the community.

Cherry Cold Brew is back on special! House made cherry syrup, cold brew or matcha over ice, topped with cold foam and Luxardo cherries.
We also have a plant-based cold foam option (pictured) !

Normal hours for Memorial Day Weekend (including Monday) 7 am - 5 pm, plus some new drink specials on the board as summer comes barreling in.

🍓 Strawberry Cloud Iced Latte is back for all our berry lovers. House made strawberry syrup, espresso or matcha, strawberry cold foam.

🥒 Cucumber Mint Tonic is perfectly refreshing and herbaceous, perfect afternoon drink IMO. House made cucumber mint syrup, Fever Tree tonic, espresso or matcha. I’m surprised at how much I love this flavor combo!

🍌 Banana Coconut Iced Latte is hanging around for a little while longer but we did make our final batch of banana syrup! Topped with a coconut cold foam.

Our seasonal cold foams are available on any cold drink as well! We also have a plant-based cold foam option with no up charge.

It’s last call for the Infused Honey Latte! Try it hot or iced, with espresso or matcha. Local wildflower honey is infused in-house with cardamom, lavender and elderflower for about 2 months. The jars get agitated a couple times a week before eventually being strained.

Garnished with Kiss the Flower local bee pollen & violas from my garden ✨

We’re celebrating 9 whole years of Neil this weekend! Neil has pretty much worked every role here possible from barista to roaster, and everything in between. He has touched our lives and touched the lives of many people in our community over so many years of service. We are incredibly grateful to celebrate so many years working together and be able to watch him excel in every role. If you see him in the shop be sure to wish him a happy anniversary!!

Online Birthday Sale
& Upcoming Cafe Closure (sorry!!)

It's hard to believe that it's been 12 whole years since we first started Retrograde. Time feels like it has moved both fast and slow. Back then, we roasted coffee and prepped for pop-ups in the kitchen at Beauty's Bagel Shop in Oakland. We moved to Sonoma County in 2015 and began rooting ourselves here at farmer's markets and events before opening our Sebastopol cafe in 2017. Our success is thanks to all of the amazing folks like you who support us. However you discovered us, we are so appreciative of your business and each year we get to celebrate together.

We'll be launching our annual online birthday coffee bean sale starting Monday, May 4th and ending Wednesday, May 6th at 5 pm! All 12 oz bags of coffee beans will be 12% off!

We opted to run our birthday sale in early May this year because we have to close our coffee shop for 3 days (from May 5 through May 7) to have our floors redone. Your orders will help keep our roastery crew busy next week!

We know the cafe closing for 3 days is not ideal for anyone, we appreciate your understanding and hope you know we will truly miss you those days.

Orders will be roasted fresh on Thursday, May 7th and ship same day, or be available for pick up at our cafe on Friday, May 8th when we re-open (normal hours 7 am - 5 pm).

Mother's Day is Sunday, May 10
