Our oven is back up and running today! Ahhh it’s been a few painful long days for us, why do things always have to break on the weekends!? Please come visit and come hungry!!
Casey spent his day off here diagnosing the oven over the weekend and discovered it needed a new transformer. He ordered the parts and had them overnighted. The parts co sent us someone else’s order 😭 and had no idea where our transformer was. On top of that, they were supposed to re-ship it yesterday and we found out at 5 am today their system had a glitch and they didn’t send it. We were spiraling this morning! Then, imagine my delight when I walked into the shop to see a Turbo Chef box! Casey was able to swiftly install the new transformer and phewww big sigh of relief when we cooked the first sandwich today.
A couple of folks have asked me - why not just buy a new oven or call a tech? Well, a new oven is around $15-$16,000! We have worked with tech companies before but they are busy (re: slow), it’s hard to get appointments and it’s expensive. They rarely have the parts needed on hand. Luckily, Casey is an amazing problem solver and there is nothing more empowering than knowing your equipment and how to fix it.
While coffee is our main focus, we take a lot of pride in our food menu too. We source ingredients locally, we prepare everything fresh in house and we do our best to keep our prices economical. We really appreciate everyone’s support and bearing with us!!
