Our feature for Tequila Thursday is another one of my faves! This mezcal is distilled in the traditional method of pechuga, but with mangos instead of animal protein. The mango sugars do not ferment, but impart flavor and depth. From Santiago, Mazatlan, and on our shelf! All neat pours over $16 are half off tonight and every Thursday!

There are plenty of Mexican restaurants around, but how about NEW Mexican? As in, the state! Interested?  Check out Bang Bang Kitchen in Othello!  When I lived in Belltown I went to Bang Bang Cafe all the time, but this was my first trip to the Kitchen.  The setting is great, as was the service.  Christmas style breakfast burrito for me, chicken wings and cornbread pancakes for Matt.  I must say, the cornbread pancakes might have been the winner.  So buttery and rich, and a unique dish for sure.  I love the Christmas Style burritos, it's half red chile and half green chile sauce.  And this is a big source of pride for Bang Bang.  Too early in the day for cocktails, but I will be back for happy hour or dinner!

On Friday night, we were honored to host a celebration of life for our friend Cary Wahl. It was a deeply moving evening. Cary was defined by her fierce loyalty, sharp wit, and boundless love, leaving an unforgettable mark on everyone who knew her. Gathering on her birthday with such a close community of souls to honor her memory showed just how profoundly she was loved.
Thank you to the Wahl family, a special thank you to Sara, you are amazing, beautiful and the best sister ever!
