Sunset on the Sound recap! šŸŒ…

What a weekend. From farm to market to table, this one was all about celebrating the people, food, and community that make Pike Place Market so special.

Such a beautiful evening alongside the and our friends throughout the Market—sharing good food, soaking up the sunset, and supporting the incredible work of the Foundation.

Good food, great people, and one beautiful Seattle sunset. Until next time! ✨

Thank you our amazing partners for making it happen!

Exciting times! Sunset on the Sound is tomorrow, and Chef Kristi and the team took this year’s Farm to Market theme pretty literally.

We hit the market, shopped what’s fresh, and picked up something special for the guest joining us at dinner. Any guesses where we ended up? šŸ‘€

Stay tuned!

Sunset on the Sound is a special collaboration with Pike Place Market Foundation and Chef Daisley Gordon of Cafe Campagne.

A huge thank you to everyone who stopped by our booth at Blastfest. Whether you grabbed a plate, said hello, or came back for seconds, we appreciate you showing us so much love.
Now we’re headed to Umoja Fest all weekend long.
Join us Saturday & Sunday at Judkins Park as we celebrate Black culture, community, music, art, and some seriously good food. Umoja Fest is one of Seattle’s longest-running celebrations of the African diaspora, and we’re proud to be part of it once again.
We’ll be serving up Communion favorites all weekend, so come hungry, bring your people, and spend the day soaking up everything that makes this city special.

Wake up. Brunch just leveled up.
Swipe to level left to level up!

We’re now pouring Bonhomie Coffee during brunch—and trust us, you’re gonna want a second cup. Smooth, bold, and full of good vibes, it’s the perfect match for your Sunday favorites. Bonhomie is a Black, q***r, woman-owned coffee brand inspired by Haitian coffee culture, and we’re hype to have them in the mix.

Pull up, sip slow, stay a while.

Brunch every Sunday | 10 AM–3 PM

We’re not making the list… we’re staying on it.

We’re honored to once again be recognized by The New York Times as one of Seattle’s best restaurants.

Awards and lists are always appreciated, but what means the most is getting to do what we love every day for this community. Every meal shared, every celebration, every regular who keeps coming back, and every first-time guest who walks through our doors is part of this story.

Thank you for continuing to show up for us. We’ll keep showing up for you—one plate at a time.

Come see what everyone’s talking about. Tag your dinner crew and make your reservation.

ā€œThe vibes at Communion are warm and welcomingā€¦ā€

That line stopped us in our tracks.

To be recognized by The New York Times is one thing. To have what we’ve always hoped people would feel when they walk through our doors put into words? That’s something special.

ā€œIt’s not unusual to strike up a conversation with the table next to yours… or be invited to an art opening by a stranger at the bar.ā€

That’s Communion.

A place where food starts conversations, strangers become neighbors, and community is just as important as what’s on the plate.

Thank you, Tejal Rao, for seeing us. And thank you to everyone who has made Communion feel like home.

Come pull up a chair—we’ll save you a seat.

Well… this is pretty cool.

We’re so honored to be voted Best Family Restaurant in The Seattle Medium’s first-ever Best of the Best Northwest Readers’ Choice Awards. Seattle Medium Newspaper

The fact that this came from our community means everything. Whether you’ve joined us for brunch, celebrated a birthday, brought the whole crew, or just made us one of your regular spots—thank you. This is your award as much as it is ours.

Getting this recognition from The Seattle Medium makes it even sweeter. They’ve been showing up for Seattle’s Black community for generations, celebrating our stories, our businesses, and our people. To be recognized by a publication that’s poured so much into this community is something we’re really proud of.

Congrats to all of the other winners, and thank you to everyone who voted and continues to show us so much love.

See y’all at the table.

She is beauty. She is grace. And icons can never be replaced.

Named in honor of the incomparable Ruby Dee, this floral take on the classic Negroni is elegant, bittersweet, and beautifully composed.

Blood orange and peach wermut (vermouth) soften Campari’s signature bitter bite, while Blood Orange & Tarragon Gin (from Black-owned Common Ground Spirits) adds fragrant citrus and herbal depth.

Like its namesake, this cocktail is graceful without ever losing its strength. Timeless, refined, and worthy of every sip šŸŒ¹šŸ‘āœØļøā
