As another busy season brings visitors to our beautiful Oregon Coast, we would like to ask everyone to please slow down and drive carefully. There is no need to pass on double yellow lines, speed, or rush from one destination to the next. Unfortunately, we have seen far too many serious accidents that were completely preventable. These crashes don't just affect the people involved, they impact families, emergency responders, local residents, businesses, and the many hardworking individuals who are doing their best to make your vacation enjoyable and memorable.
The Oregon Coast is meant to be experienced at a relaxed pace. Please be patient, respect traffic laws, and remember that arriving a few minutes later is far better than risking lives. Whether you're visiting for the first time or call this community home, we all share the responsibility of keeping our roads safe. Let's work together to ensure that every vacation ends with wonderful memories—not needless, senseless, and preventable tragedies.
