Scottsdale's Oldest Bar Celebrating Its 70th Anniversary! The Rusty Spur Saloon sits in a registered historic landmark that was the Farmer’s Bank of Scottsdale. The building was constructed in 1921 and eventually renovated in 1951 to

become what is known today as Rusty Spur Saloon. The bulk of the money and ledgers may be gone, but the vault is now filled with beer and liquor (the valuables)! Where cowboys used to gather to water their horses while sipping on cool beverages, is now one a favorite of locals and visitors alike featuring lunch,
alcoholic beverages and live entertainment seven days and nights a week!

From cash to booze. We call that progress. 🤠

Back in 1921, our building opened as the Farmers State Bank in Scottsdale. The bank closed, but the vault wasn’t going anywhere. Rusty Spur moved in in 1951 and we found a new use for it. 🤠

More than 100 years later, the building is on historical registry and the old bank vault is still protecting the valuables. 🍺 We just have a different definition of liquid assets these days 🤠 🍻
