People don’t know what goes into this photo. Ordering a bag of green Colombian coffee specifically for the race. Roasting it a week in advance so the runners have the best coffee once they get home to remind them. Driving over to Gannett Hill Park on Friday for the runner sign in and expo. Getting home around 10pm. I go to bed and Kris starts the process of brewing 20 gallons of coffee for over 200 runners and volunteers. I get up around 1:00, load it in the truck, and carefully head back to the park, the start line. White knuckles and driving ever so carefully the whole way - people are relying on me. A lot of people, there is no backup plan. These runners will spend the next 11-20 hours trying to complete 65 hilly trail miles from Naples to Hammondsport. It’s wickedly inspiring, and maybe a bit crazy.
So here’s a picture of me at 3:00 on a Saturday morning in late August starting my day and making people smile, some for the last time that day! Thanks as always to Ron Heerkens at Goat Factory Media for capturing the shot.

Today we set up a self-serve hot and iced coffee bar and Italian soda bar at Wellsville Elementary School for Teacher Appreciation Week! The Elementary Student Senate hired us to treat their teachers and staff to show the love for the AMAZING group of adults that help them every day! We are always happy to oblige this group!
