We've been here since 2003 showcasing the best in local and regional acts of all genres, and will continue at doing so every day, every week, every year. Every night is something different here at THE JINX, but every night if full of good times, good friends, and a great vibe for all walks of life. For today’s THE JINX memory is Halloween of 2018, one of our last together 🥹🥹🥹 why were we so good at this ? Idk decades of practice I suppose, I’ll tell you the origin story another time I swear. But mostly because of the COUNTLESS people who donated their time imaginations and artistry every year, just for the love of Halloween, not money. I’ll try and list some of those below. Clearly it’s frustrating to get a pic of us all behind the bar ha. Why am I sticking my butt out to the window ? I honestly don’t know. I remember the boys being extremely mad at me this particular year cause getting an actual cast iron bathtub in to the window was not easy. BUT WORTH IT ! No clue what he’s thanking me for but clearly it was a fun night. All I can think is that maybe I didn’t have pockets that night to carry my phone around is my only guess. For today’s at The Jinx memory is another bittersweet one with some friends we miss so much. This was our second birthday in October 2005. So. Many. Friends. So many moments. Ok so here’s the behind the scenes story, even two years in me Tony and Gil had started noticing a pattern. Everyone that was getting kicked out was wearing a striped polo, or a backwards sun visor AT NIGHT or sunglasses strapped around their necks. Ok if they had all three it was definitely the trifecta of doom and we knew the minute they walked in the door that’s who was gonna be an ass and get themselves shown to the door that night by their own doing. That’s why The Jinx was so different, people like I just described were the outcasts here, not the other way around like the rest of the city. THEY were the minority, not us weirdos and I would have it no other way. PROUD. I am so proud of us. Ok so on this birthday a bunch of the boys showed up in striped polos, like they had to go buy them, just to mess with me. I LOVE YOU ALL MY JINXIES ! Come see us at our event in March ! ❤️🦇💔

For todays memory from The Jinx, prolly gonna make you cry like I am. Ok today 10.10.26. is our 23rd birthday. I can’t even believe that. I’ve been sitting on this video for a special occasion to share and this seems like the right one. Ok so it was Gilbert Cruz birthday party on 12.12.12. Him and his Rancid tribute band And Out Come the Wolfs played a lil set. THIS IS OUR FAMILY. These are my brothers and I love them alllllllllll. I can absolutely still feel the energy of that room and this stage and this night in my soul and I’m so proud of us ! Please join is for our reunion/auction/show next March 27th Starland Yard and tell your real friends how much you love them every chance you get. ❤️🦇💔

For today’s memory from The Jinx is both a treasured memory but with a bonus life lesson some of yall need to learn. Ok this is 1.27.214. One of the countless times Lucero LUCERO graced our stage. Hands down one of my other favorite bands on the entire planet. I’m so proud of yall ! Ok so here’s the life lesson all people other than the band need to know, according to this video half of your parents forgot to teach you something so I will now. When LUCERO is on stage, you do not talk. ESPECIALLY not to me. 🫠 You are to either scream sing along with them or remain silent. I’m making that rule and and you should maybe or maybe not remember that in the new year. Ok mister Rick Steff you’re wearing a jinx shirt in this, I love you man ! Also just for giggles I had ONE jinx shirt printed in white for Benjamin Nichols 😂. Love you guys. Miss you guys. This is the first of MANY Lucero posts. ❤️🦇💔 I see some people following the rules here but I HEAR so many of you not. If memory serves, Tony just walked out from behind the bar to get on stage to guest sing with NICHE 🤷‍♀️ idk but nailed it ! To all of my actual TRUE friends out there that know me, all of my love to you. Let’s all try to get by with some help from our friends.
