A little schedule update for this weekend!

Sweet Marie’s Bakeshop will be CLOSED Friday through Monday while I’m out of the shop working on several catering events!

It’s going to be a busy few days of cooking, baking, and feeding lots of people, so our regular shop will be taking a little break while I’m in catering mode.

Thank you all so much for continuing to keep me busy and for supporting Sweet Marie’s — whether you’re stopping by the shop, ordering a salad, booking a catering, or trusting me with your special events. It truly means so much! ❤️

We’ll see you when we’re back!

A gender reveal I’ve been waiting to share…

I made this gender reveal cake several weeks ago, and I’m finally getting a chance to post it because the story behind this one was just too sweet not to share.

This couple flew into Aurora for their trip, and when they came to me for their gender reveal cake, they told me that if their baby was a girl, they wanted to name her Aurora Marie.

Aurora, because it’s a beautiful name and where they flew into for this special trip. Marie because Sweet Marie’s made their gender reveal cake and they even had their photography session at Lake Marie here in Saratoga, which made the name feel even more meant to be.

And the best part?

I already knew.

While I was making their cake, I knew the sweetest little secret tucked inside — they were having a GIRL! I had to keep it all to myself while knowing that the little baby they were about to discover was already going to have the most beautiful name waiting for her: Aurora Marie.

Getting to be trusted with these little secrets and be a small part of such huge moments in people’s lives is one of the things I love most about what I do.

I’m pretty honored that Sweet Marie’s — and a little piece of Saratoga at Lake Marie — got to be part of the story behind her name. ❤️

🌵🍦 FRIDAY SCHOOL?! That definitely calls for an after-school treat! 😆🎉

Since our valley kids don’t usually have school on Fridays, we think anyone who made it through today deserves something GOOD. 😂

🌵 Flavor of the Week: RED PRICKLY PEAR CACTUS SOFT SERVE!
It’s fun, fruity, and definitely one you’ll want to try! 🍦🌵❤️

🥨 PLUS… fresh homemade soft pretzels are coming out of the oven! Warm, soft, and served with cheese or honey mustard! 🤤

So after that Friday school bell rings, bring the kids by for a prickly pear soft serve, a hot pretzel… or BOTH. Because honestly, they went to school on a Friday. They earned it. 😂🙌

We’ll see you after school! 💕

8 FEET of wedding cake.

Definitely one of the biggest and most unforgettable cakes I’ve ever created!

This 8-foot-long mountain range wedding cake was such an incredible project, and seeing it completely set up in this beautiful space at Brush Creek Ranch was one of those moments where I just had to stand back and take it all in.

A huge thank you to Allison Keasal Events | Destination Wedding Planner for hiring me and trusting me to create such a special piece for this beautiful wedding. I’m so grateful for the opportunity to have been a part of it!

So many hours went into bringing this mountain range to life, and watching the camera pan out and finally show the entire cake still makes me smile. Eight. Whole. Feet.

Me vibing with my teenage coworkers like I’m one of them… meanwhile they apparently see me as someone who remembers the invention of fire. 😭😂🦖

Nothing will humble you faster than working with teenagers. 💀
