𝗙𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗳𝗶𝗿𝘀𝘁 𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗺𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗶𝗻 𝟮𝟬𝟭𝟲 𝘁𝗼 𝗻𝗼𝘄. 𝗠𝘂𝘀𝗶𝗰 𝘁𝗵𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗴𝗵 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘆𝗲𝗮𝗿𝘀.

Live music has been part of Artisanal Brew Works from the beginning. John-Pierre Conques played on opening day, followed not long after by our first open mic.

Years later, while we were at 615 Maple Ave., Richard Clements started using our tiny taproom for practice sessions ahead of a downtown gig. People loved them. When we moved next door to 617 Maple Ave., the sessions came with us — and kept growing.

Eventually Rich took over booking, and today we have live music every Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

This anniversary weekend is a pretty good example:

𝗧𝗲𝗻 𝘆𝗲𝗮𝗿𝘀 𝗹𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗿, 𝘄𝗲’𝗿𝗲 𝗿𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁 𝘄𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲 𝘄𝗲 𝘄𝗮𝗻𝘁 𝘁𝗼 𝗯𝗲.

This one’s a little longer than our usual posts, but the road to 10 years can’t really be boiled down to a few short sentences.

Our road to 10 years took us through three very different homes.

We spent our first four-plus years at 𝟰𝟭 𝗚𝗲𝘆𝘀𝗲𝗿 𝗥𝗼𝗮𝗱 — tucked back from the road, with our cozy upstairs taproom, those memorable stairs, and a private event space overlooking the brewery below.

Then, after we had already been operating at Geyser Road for three years, the 𝗖𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗼𝗳 𝗦𝗮𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗼𝗴𝗮 𝗦𝗽𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴𝘀 abruptly changed its interpretation of the zoning rules, deciding that food trucks, outdoor music, and even the use of our lawn were no longer acceptable ancillary uses for a brewery. Those decisions fundamentally changed how we were allowed to operate, and we knew it was time to leave.

During COVID, we relocated to 𝟲𝟭𝟱 𝗠𝗮𝗽𝗹𝗲 𝗔𝘃𝗲. It was small, the brewing space was tight, and Route 9 was right outside the door — but we made it work while we waited for our future home next door to become available.

Then, on 𝗗𝗲𝗰𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿 𝟮𝟴, 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟭, we opened the taproom at 𝟲𝟭𝟳 𝗠𝗮𝗽𝗹𝗲 𝗔𝘃𝗲. The brewery followed over the next year.

And when we finally moved into 617 Maple Ave., we found the kind of home we’d been looking for all along — a much larger space, a huge outdoor area, direct access to hiking and mountain biking trails, and a home in the MUCH more business-friendly Town of Wilton NY.

Today, that vision has become 𝗡𝗮𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲’𝘀 𝗘𝗱𝗴𝗲 𝗕𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗼, 𝗡𝗮𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲’𝘀 𝗘𝗱𝗴𝗲 𝗧𝗲𝗿𝗿𝗮𝗰𝗲, the trails and forest right outside our door, a larger restaurant and taproom, live music, and space for the kinds of experiences we always wanted Artisanal Brew Works to offer.

And if this week’s weather holds, it may be one of the last stretches of the season to really enjoy the terrace in all its fall glory. 🍂🌲

Grab some food and drinks, settle in outside, and enjoy where the road eventually brought us.

For our 10-year anniversary, Saratoga Squeeze got turned up a notch.

Meet 𝗦𝗮𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗼𝗴𝗮 𝗦𝗾𝘂𝗲𝗲𝘇𝗶𝗲𝘀𝘁 — a 10% ABV Hazy New England IPA brewed especially for Saturday’s celebration.

Adam brewed it with Citra, Mosaic, Galaxy and Nectaron hops for a big, juicy anniversary version of Saratoga Squeeze.

And starting Saturday, our bartenders will be the ones pouring it.

𝗪𝗲 𝗺𝗮𝗸𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗯𝗲𝗲𝗿. 𝗚𝗿𝗮𝗻𝘁 𝗖𝗼𝘁𝘁𝗮𝗴𝗲 𝗸𝗲𝗲𝗽𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗵𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗿𝘆 𝗮𝗹𝗶𝘃𝗲.

We’re fortunate to have one of our area’s most remarkable historic places just a few miles up the road from Artisanal Brew Works.

Since last year, we’ve been proud to collaborate with Grant Cottage on two b**rs created to help put a little more attention on the Cottage and the history it preserves:

🍺 𝗨𝗻𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗱𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗦𝘂𝗿𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗿 𝗟𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁 𝗟𝗮𝗴𝗲𝗿

The b**r is our part. The important work happens up on Mount McGregor, where the Friends of Ulysses S. Grant Cottage preserve Grant’s final home, share his story, and keep this extraordinary piece of local and American history accessible to new generations.

And this weekend is a particularly good time to see that work for yourself.

𝗖𝗶𝘃𝗶𝗹 𝗪𝗮𝗿 𝗘𝗻𝗰𝗮𝗺𝗽𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗪𝗲𝗲𝗸𝗲𝗻𝗱 takes place Saturday and Sunday at Grant Cottage, with living-history demonstrations covering camp life, artillery, infantry, medicine, civilian life, photography and more, along with historic presentations and music. The daytime programming is free and open to the public.

There’s also a special ticketed Twilight Tour Saturday evening, with the encampment illuminated by campfires and lanterns, along with after-dark artillery demonstrations and an ancestral recognition ceremony.

If you’ve never made the short trip up to Grant Cottage, this weekend would be a great time to discover what’s been sitting practically in our backyard.

We’re proud that our cans can help tell a small part of that story — and even prouder to be associated with the people who keep it alive.

𝗧𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝘆𝗲𝗮𝗿, 𝗠𝘂𝗹𝘁𝗶𝗽𝗹𝗲 𝗜𝗻𝗳𝗶𝗻𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗲𝘀 𝗩𝗮𝗻𝗶𝗹𝗹𝗮 𝗠𝗼𝗰𝗵𝗮 𝗦𝘁𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝘁𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗲𝘀 𝗮 𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘁𝗹𝗲 𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝗹𝗼𝗰𝗮𝗹.

For this year’s batch, we teamed up with two other local producers to source two of the ingredients that help give this b**r its character.

☕ 𝗨𝗽𝘀𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗖𝗼𝗳𝗳𝗲𝗲 (Gloversville) supplied the cold-press coffee.

🍫 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝗳𝗹𝘂𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗖𝗵𝗼𝗰𝗼𝗹𝗮𝘁𝗲 (Ballston Spa) supplied the cacao nibs.

And here at 𝗔𝗿𝘁𝗶𝘀𝗮𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗕𝗿𝗲𝘄 𝗪𝗼𝗿𝗸𝘀, we brought it all together in our Multiple Infinities Vanilla Mocha Stout.

We talk a lot about supporting local, and this is one of our favorite ways to do it: work with nearby producers, source great ingredients from people we know, and turn those ingredients into something we can all be proud of.

The result is a rich stout layered with coffee, chocolate and vanilla — with even more of what goes into the glass coming from right here in our own community.

We’re bringing back last year’s glowing Halloween scenes, lights, sounds and spooky surprises throughout the woods — and we’ll be adding even more during the first week of October.

The trail is designed for different comfort levels:

👻 𝟱:𝟯𝟬–𝟲:𝟯𝟬 𝗣𝗠: A tamer experience for younger kids and anyone who likes their Halloween fun a little less spooky.

🌒 𝟲:𝟯𝟬 𝗣𝗠–𝗖𝗹𝗼𝘀𝗲: The lights, sounds and nighttime atmosphere turn things up a notch.

The Spooky Trail runs 𝗧𝘂𝗲𝘀𝗱𝗮𝘆–𝗦𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗮𝘆 𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗴𝗵 𝗛𝗮𝗹𝗹𝗼𝘄𝗲𝗲𝗻.

💀 Admission is 𝗙𝗥𝗘𝗘 for guests joining us for food and/or drinks. Trail-only admission is $5 per person.

𝗔 𝗹𝗼𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗰𝗮𝘂𝘀𝗲. 𝗔 𝗹𝗼𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗯𝗲𝗲𝗿. 𝗔 𝗹𝗮𝗯𝗲𝗹 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗮 𝗽𝘂𝗿𝗽𝗼𝘀𝗲.

We’ve been having a lot of fun lately working with local businesses and organizations to put their stories, events and causes on our cans.

Our latest community collaboration is with Wild For Life inc., a local wildlife rehabilitation organization that cares for injured and orphaned wildlife and works to return them to the wild.

These special labels are helping spread the word about Wild For Life’s inaugural Beaver Ball, happening October 30 at Universal Preservation Hall. The fundraising gala supports their work — including plans for a dedicated wildlife health clinic and expanded rehabilitation facilities.

And because one b**r is never enough, we made two. 🦫🍺

This Saturday, October 10, we’re celebrating a decade of Artisanal Brew Works with a full day of food, drinks, live music — and the 𝗚𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗢𝗽𝗲𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗼𝗳 𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗦𝗽𝗼𝗼𝗸𝘆 𝗧𝗿𝗮𝗶𝗹.

We’ll be releasing 𝗦𝗮𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗼𝗴𝗮 𝗦𝗾𝘂𝗲𝗲𝘇𝗶𝗲𝘀𝘁, a special 𝟭𝟬% 𝗔𝗕𝗩 version of Saratoga Squeeze brewed just for the occasion.

And come hungry — our Nature’s Edge Bistro menu will be available throughout the celebration, with everything from appetizers and pizzas to burgers, sandwiches, salads and more.
