Sunday's weather couldn't quite make up its mind, so we moved the Bennett Brothers inside. 🎶

We've grown significantly over the past few years—expanding our food and drink offerings, building Nature's Edge Terrace and the Forest Stage, adding more events and live music, and welcoming more and more of you through our doors.

We'll start with a guided side-by-side tasting of two different batches of Saratoga Squeeze. You'll get a 16 oz can pour of each as we walk you through what we changed in the newest batch, why we changed it, and how those changes helped bring forward more of the delicate ripe melon and tangerine notes we love in Squeeze.

Then we'll switch gears with a 5 oz tasting of Derailleur, our award-winning West Coast-inspired IPA, and explore how a very different approach to IPA changes what's in your glass.

And there's some good news: 𝗔𝗱𝗮𝗺, 𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗯𝗿𝗲𝘄𝗲𝗿, 𝗶𝘀 𝗯𝗮𝗰𝗸! He'll be around the brewery during the 4 PM tasting, along with Kurt and Colin—so you may get a chance to talk beer and meet more of the people behind what we brew at Artisanal Brew Works.

Our latest releases, with answers this time. As of yesterday all are packaged except the Helles, which is still conditioning.

For the Helles hint, I tried to look serious, and not smile. Lots of Germans have that rep, but I'm proof that some are goofs.

The winner (from the reel posted last week) with the most correct guesses is LM. Watching with the sound on evidently gave hints 😂.

With our newest batch of Saratoga Squeeze, we made some changes designed to give it a softer finish and let more of those delicate tangerine and ripe melon flavors come through.

We'll start by opening cans of the previous and current batches of Saratoga Squeeze and tasting them side-by-side. You'll get a 16 oz can of each while ABW owners Kurt Borchardt and/or Colin Quinn guide you through the tasting—what we changed, why we changed it, and what we're tasting in the finished beer.

You'll get a 5 oz pour of Daily Double, our hazy Double IPA, followed by a 5 oz pour of Derailleur, our award-winning West Coast-inspired IPA. We'll taste through each together and talk about what makes these three IPAs distinctly different from one another.

𝗧𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗸𝘀 𝘁𝗼 𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘆𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗰𝗮𝗺𝗲 𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝘆𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗱𝗮𝘆 𝘁𝗼 𝘀𝘂𝗽𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁 𝗮 𝗹𝗼𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗯𝘂𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀, 𝗹𝗼𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗺𝘂𝘀𝗶𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗻𝘀, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘀𝗽𝗲𝗻𝗱 𝗮 𝗯𝗲𝗮𝘂𝘁𝗶𝗳𝘂𝗹 𝗱𝗮𝘆 𝗼𝗻 𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗿𝗮𝗰𝗲 & 𝘀𝘂𝗿𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗴𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱𝘀.

One note: at the end of the night we noticed that someone left their cooler of domestic beer behind. Yup, someone visited our bistro and brewery, and brought their own cooler of beer.

Besides being against NYS Liquor Authority rules, that just strikes us as so inconsiderate on so many levels. A few top-of-mind thoughts:

1) We sell our lagers and pilsners for $7, in a 19 oz. mug (happy hour, they're $6). Very reasonable. We purposely make a wide selection of beer styles to please most palates.

2) 𝘖𝘶𝘳 𝘦𝘹𝘱𝘦𝘯𝘴𝘦𝘴 𝘢𝘳𝘦𝘯'𝘵 𝘧𝘳𝘦𝘦 𝘰𝘳 𝘤𝘩𝘦𝘢𝘱 (rent, utilities, insurance, and of course employees). All of these expenses are built into our pricing. That's why restaurant meals cost way more than if you made it at home. Drinks are where every restaurant makes the bulk of their money. That's how it works.

3) As owners, we hate having signs everywhere to tell people things they should know. For example:

- 𝘋𝘰𝘯'𝘵 𝘣𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘬 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘧𝘦𝘯𝘤𝘦 𝘱𝘰𝘴𝘵𝘴. They're buried 3' in the ground and hard to replace.

- 𝘋𝘰𝘯'𝘵 𝘩𝘢𝘯𝘨 𝘰𝘧𝘧 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘥𝘢𝘳𝘵 𝘣𝘰𝘢𝘳𝘥 𝘤𝘢𝘣𝘪𝘯𝘦𝘵𝘴. They aren't designed for pull-ups. The bonus? After pulling the dart board cabinet off the wall, "Don't worry, we won't sue you."

- 𝘋𝘰𝘯'𝘵 𝘣𝘳𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘰𝘶𝘵𝘴𝘪𝘥𝘦 𝘧𝘰𝘰𝘥 𝘰𝘳 𝘥𝘳𝘪𝘯𝘬 𝘵𝘰 𝘢 𝘳𝘦𝘴𝘵𝘢𝘶𝘳𝘢𝘯𝘵. Unless you're given permission or it's bloody obvious (like bringing a birthday cake or baby food), assume you can't bring your own food or drink. Do that.

- 𝘓𝘪𝘧𝘵 𝘶𝘱 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘵𝘰𝘪𝘭𝘦𝘵 𝘴𝘦𝘢𝘵. Better yet, your aim sucks. Do everyone a favor and sit from now on.

- If you're visiting via a brew bus / limo, you can't walk in with alcohol purchased elsewhere. When asked to put your beverage back in your vehicle or dump it, we're not asking you to give us lip or have you/your friends give us 1-star Google reviews.
