12 years ago, I opened Five Star Pizza on Stickney Point Rd in Sarasota. Since then, a lot has happened. I got married, moved to Bradenton, had a kid, opened a new Five Star in Bradenton, my husband joined me in business, we moved the original Sarasota location to its current spot on Bee Ridge Rd, and then Covid hit and all that came with it.

It has been a wonderful journey, but it has been very hard trying to balance family life and two stores that are often an hour drive time away from each other. Sarasota has been so good to us, and this store is ready for an owner that has more time to invest in it and its employees.

As of June 1st, 2023, Haydn Edwards is the new owner of Five Star Pizza Sarasota (Bee Ridge). He has been with Five Star Pizza in one capacity or another longer than I have, and he is ready to pour into this store and community. I am confident that he will take my wonderful team of employees to great places as the new owner. He has the time and availability to be on location to work out any issues and to ensure that everything is up to Five Star Pizza standards.

YES WE ARE OPEN TODAY FROM 4pm to 8PM, We will be OPEN today from 4pm to 8pm, but we are not taking phone orders so just come on by. In an effort to serve everyone as quickly as possible we will be offering carryout only and will have 16" pizzas hot and ready with limited topping choices. HURRICANE IAN UPDATE!!!

We will be open today, Tuesday Sept 27th, until 8pm. At which time we will close down and prep our stores for the impending hurricane. As of right now we plan to be closed all day on Wednesday.

All of our employees have been given the option to not work today, so please be patient and kind to the staff that have chosen to stay open and keep serving you!
