Unfortunately or fortunately is today our last day that we are open at the Sarasota commens location. End of the road/lease. Five years is a long time. Feeling extremly bitter sweet. All the great customers and friends we met. A huge thank you from the bottom of my heart for a great great time. Grateful for the experience, good and bad beyond believe. Everything happens for a reason. One door closes and another will open.... a very very special thanks for believing in me goes to: Uwe Cooper, Thomas Roesicke, Tiki George, David Heilmann, Steve Pazder, Onkel Sven, Tim Cossey, Zack Cossey, Fran Hassch, Steve, Lonnie DS, Ronnie Galetti, John Reisinger, Daniel Plewka....i probably forgot a few but you know who you are. My daughter and I visited Curry Up King today. I ordered the Schnitzel Sandwich with German potato salad, and my daughter ordered the Berlin combo plate. The service was great, friendly! (May have been the owner? He looked like the lead singer of Whitesnake 👍) The food arrived fairly quick, my schnitzel cutlet was huge compared to the roll. the pork cutlet was thin, crispy outside, yet tender, juicy on the inside and paired well with the lemon/curry aioli on it, fantastic sandwich, and the German potato salad was delicious! My daughter's entre was also very good...had 3 different curry wursts sprinkled with paprika and curry seasoning...each wurst had it's own particular mouth feel/consistency and flavor which she enjoyed. Her curry wursts went well with the potato salad and sauerkraut, ( sauerkraut was so good!) Next time, I'm going to try the Rotkohl and perhaps, the Frankfurter Würstchen... looking forward to my next visit! Loved Curry Up King! Super!
