So many have asked so I thought I would share. What’s with the name “Redline”? I love telling the story in person. But I can’t possibly tell everyone.

I’ve always wanted to own a restaurant. My dream not Leroy’s. So when we decided to purchase the food truck I kept throwing out name suggestions. Treasure’s Cafe (after mom) Champs (after my brother) and so many other names. But Leroy shot all those names down. Then one night when I made a suggestion he stopped me mid sentence and said, “we are calling it Redline. That’s where it all started.”

See I was waiting tables at my Aunt’s truck stop “Redline” and he was driving a truck. 34 years later he treats me with more love each day. God is so good to give me such a loving and supportive husband who wants to make every dream come to life.

We sold out of brisket today. But don’t worry, Leroy has been smoking. He smoked meatloaf for Thursday, but it has already sold out. Now we know and will do lots more for next Thursday. Let’s do a baked potato special for Thursday instead. Loaded baked potato (brisket or our Firebird grilled chicken) plus dessert for $13.95. That means I will be making bread pudding for dessert. Who wants some?

Plus Betty promised to get bake in the bakery since we sold out of cinnamon rolls and orange cake! I wonder what delicious recipe she will create tomorrow! Stop by and try something!

It was an amazing Tuesday. We sold a lot of specials. Did you enjoy the smothered steak? Leroy will be smoking tomorrow. Unfortunately he didn’t feel well today so we are behind. But we will have meatloaf on Thursday. Im trying to decide on a special for tomorrow. I was thinking king ranch chicken. …. One of my favorite dishes. If I get up early enough and things go smoothly that’s what we will do. Y’all! It so good!
