It was 4:45 in the morning, while most people were fast asleep we were taking our usual halftime picture outside the bar. A cop rolled up, I went to the window, apologized and told home I’d get everyone inside. He said, “I don’t care about that and got on the loudspeaker and sang “Glory, Glory Man United…. Now, we get to do this again in 3 weeks. No alcohol until 6am, just coffee and breakfast!

Sadly, Martina Buckley, has passed away and friends will gather this Sunday at O’Brien’s Irish Pub to honor her memory. The memorial is hosted by Janice Kavanagh and anyone who knew her is welcome! O’Brien’s will be closed to the public at that time!

The World Cup is over! But good news! We are the home of the LA Reds! The largest Manchester United fan club in the west Coast! It’s only five weeks to the start of Premier League Season! We get huge crowds for some of the big matches! GGMU!

What a tournament and I do believe the best team won! Unbeaten Spain, they beat France and Argentina with ease! Thanks to everyone that came to O’Brien’s today and for every match! It’s been a hell of a ride!

The phones are ringing off the hook! We already have tables set aside for our regulars. If you show up after 11, you probably will have no chance of getting in, not to mind, getting a table. The last few matches, the people who lined up before 11am got tables. The bar was full 30 minutes before kick off. Also no U21 or pets!
