Chimek is the wondrous combination of fried chicken(치킨) and beer which is called "mekju"(맥주). Just take the first syllable of each, and you have Chimek! Chi(치) + Mek(맥) = Chimek (치맥)! It has been thriving in South Korea for years but America is only now catching on.
