We have decided to go back to pre-made salads for a little while. 💥💥 No salad bar💥💥 We are still in the training process with all of our new awesome staff, so just hang tight for us! This week you will see our summer lovin' salad and our chef's kiss pre-made salads in the cold deli case!

We hear it all the time…

“Y’all are only open 3 days a week.”

And you’re right. 💜

The café doors may only be open three days a week, but the work never stops.

What many people don’t see are the other four days spent serving our community in ways that go far beyond sandwiches, coffee, and desserts.

The Debonair Chef, The Robin’s Nest, Chef James, Jill, and our family provide food and support seven days a week through foster care programs, schools, community organizations, the elderly, families in need, and members of our under served community. We spend countless hours preparing meals, supporting local events, donating our time, mentoring others, and helping wherever we can.

But one of the things we’re most proud of is what comes next.

In the near future, The Debonair Chef will be launching a FREE accredited culinary apprenticeship program for aspiring chefs and kitchen professionals who may not have the financial means to attend a traditional culinary school. We believe talent shouldn’t be limited by income, and we’re committed to creating opportunities for the next generation to learn, grow, and build successful careers in the culinary industry.

This has never been just about food for us.

It’s about investing in people.

It’s about creating opportunities.

It’s about helping our community become stronger.

Chef James and Jill have always believed that success means very little if you’re not reaching back and helping someone else climb with you. Whether it’s feeding families, mentoring students, supporting local organizations, or creating career pathways for those who need them most, giving back has always been at the heart of everything we do.

So yes, we’re open three days a week.

But we’re serving our community seven days a week.

Every coffee, every chicken salad, every sandwich, every catering order, and every dessert helps us continue this mission.

You guys sold out our homemade baked mac & cheese and dirty philly cheesesteak cabbage all 3 days!!

This week we’re bringing out a few new sidekicks that are ready to steal the spotlight:

🥬 Creamed Collards — rich, creamy, Southern goodness.
🫘 TDC Loaded Baked Beans — loaded up and showing off like they own the place.

Perfect alongside your favorite sandwich… or let’s be honest, they’re good enough to be the main character. 😏

Happy Friday! I need somebody to turn on the air conditioning -- hahaha this heat is out of control 😜

We are doing a fresh drop of Cafe items to PlayEscape this afternoon!

We are also putting our cheesecakes, chicken salad and charcuterie boxes at CJ's Cork & Taps starting on tuesday!

We are excited that Sanford is wanting more opportunities to get our food!! This is a great way for you guys to be able to snag our chicken salad on the weekends when we are closed!

Y’ALL. 😂 -- I do believe hot sides are here to stay! Y'all have demolished over 15 lb of mac and cheese and 10 lb of cabbage in 2 days!

When we pulled into the parking lot this morning and saw cars already hanging out at 8 AM, we thought maybe there was a secret meeting happening…

Turns out y’all were waiting on US. 🤯💜

For the SECOND day in a row, we SOLD OUT of EVERYTHING.

✅ Hot sandwiches? Gone.
✅ Cold case? Gone.
✅ Desserts? Gone.
✅ Chicken salad? No one shred left -- we are making more so don't stress out ;))

The support this week has been absolutely incredible. Tik Tok be doing the most and we are here for it!!

Don’t worry, the crew will be bright-eyed (or at least heavily caffeinated ☕️) and back in early tomorrow morning remaking, restocking, and getting ready to feed all you beautiful people before the weekend kicks off.

Sanford, y’all are showing up and showing OUT, and we’re having an absolute blast showing this town what The Debonair Chef is all about. We are not a secret anymore—

Now if you’ll excuse us, I think we are all hitting the bottle— I mean bed early 😆😝🥰😇

That’s right… cheesy, creamy comfort food and a cabbage side loaded with all those savory Philly flavors we love. 🤤

We’re giving these a test run to see what y’all think! If you love ‘em, we’ll keep ‘em around. If not… we’ll blame Chef James and pretend this never happened. 😂
