Mary Snipes when you gifted me this amazing treatment to I knew I needed it but wasn’t sure when I would use it.

When we least expect it, life somestimes life’s in directions we didn’t expect and definitely didn’t see coming. But God!!

I often think of all of your faces and the pleasure it brought me to see you guys weekly…some of you, a few times a week. Clearly, Mary knew something I didn’t 💛 As many of you know, August is my BIRTHDAY MONTH 🎉 That means that every day, I celebrate. Because my birthday is the end of August, I get to celebrate every single day leading up to and including the 30th 😉

To kick off my Birthday Month, I have booked a 1-Hour Skin Care Treatment courtesy of Mary!! It’s not until 8/22 bc I’ve shifted back to law and am in Orlando everyday. I’m learning to make myself a priority after serving everyone else for 5 years plus. Thank you Mary for encouraging me to take care of myself!!

Can I share something with y’all. OMG!! I have dropped a picture of our Banana Dreme Cake below. Many of you have had the distinct pleasure of owning a part of our experience, right??

I decided to pop into Too-jays to grab a slice of cake for myself and Hulk (Baby Boy). I got the . I was so hyped about finally trying the cake that we have used as a guide to produce our version. Y’all….Listen…I’m sooooo disappointed 😔 For me…for ME…the cake was a little dry and lacked flavor. The whipped icing was good. The banana custard was tolerable. The chocolate ganache was delicious.

We recently saw a post on Sanford, 327 where a resident was lamenting about the closing of our location. She is in need of a homemade cookie cake for a birthday. It really touched my heart, and I was saddened by the fact that I am unable to fulfill her request.

I am still baking, but for my own pleasure and fulfillment. I treat the women in my office to a different sweet treat each week. In honor of such a beautiful soul, who appreciated the true southern homemade desserts we offered, I made my homemade chocolate chip cookies.

In MY opinion, a baker should never need sugar water to ensure the moistness of a cake. At Simply Homemade the science and experience plus our secret ingredient is what made and kept our cakes moist!!

Expensive does not translate into better!
