Grateful and surprised...

Saturday night, The Sandy Springs Perimeter Chamber of Commerce held it's annual Gala, and presented The Brickery with it's oh so coveted "Sandy"... as Restaurant Of The Year.

Wow. The Brickery is closed... right? It's is more than special to be recognized this way, and it speaks volumes to what YOU... customers... and staff... created for our community, for so long. Couldn't have done it without you, that's for sure.

Our thanks to The Chamber who continues to do a terrific job in representing all of the moving parts that make up our business community... and who has always included independent businesses as a key part of their mission. We can't wait to watch their continued success, as our City evolves.

Well... we didn't win it. But... man oh man... holy moley... good golly Miss Molly... did we ever cook up some great Burgers. It was intense... it was crazy... it was FUN... and our Caesar Burger was indeed loved by the over 3,500 partying patrons waiting in line for hours to have it.

Couldn't have done this without you. You put us here. High fives all around. What a way to go out!!!!! What a way to lay down the spatula. We love you all!

Time to go. Heading to South Beach Thursday morning, and we will do some serious prep all day Thursday. On Friday around 6:30, our one and only will be going head to head against 29 of the nations' best chefs. What's at stake? To claim the honor of Best Burger In the Country by the sponsored by Rachael Ray and the Food Network.

It's a big deal! We are ready. All we have to do is cook and build about 450 Caesar Burgers in 3 hours for the 3,500 attendees that paid $250 a ticket to get on the beach.

If you do the math... 30 burgers on the grill at a time... means we do it 15 times, you call in sick! Nah... we're jumping in head first. The Caesar Burger has legs, and we are honored... and hell bent to do it justice. Wish us luck!

That's all folks....the staff at The Brickery are grateful and thankful for Bruce and Sally for creating such a wonderful, warm, caring place to work..and we are all grateful to our wonderful customers, our community... For 24 years of loyalty. You guys are the best and we will miss you! Come in tonight for one last Caesar Burger!
