Summer is here, and we’re celebrating with some of the season’s very best. 🍑🍅🌿

This weekend we’re featuring a Peach, Tomato, Basil & Avocado Toast on your choice of our gluten-free bread or Made by Madeline sourdough, which we proudly stock and sell in the café.

And because peaches deserve more than one moment in the spotlight, we’re also offering a Peach & Pecan topping for special blueberry or lemon poppy pancakes, blueberry sourdough French toast, and plain or chocolate chip waffles.

A little behind-the-scenes note: Lauren made this avocado toast for our lunch yesterday, and it was so incredibly delicious we knew we had to share it with all of you this weekend. 💛

What a day it was!!

On a notoriously challenging course, I was fortunate enough to hit both of my goals: a sub-6-hour finish (and a PR) and a Top 10 placement in my age group.

It was every bit as magical and meaningful as I had imagined—a grueling bike course sandwiched between the most refreshing swim in waters I grew up gulping down and a run course whose roads I logged countless miles on during many a -20°C day. I was in my element to say the least even with a side stitch I can’t seem to kick after the bike.

But the race was only part of what made this weekend so special.

Sharing the experience with Elizabeth and Lauren made every mile, every laugh, and every moment leading up to race day that much more meaningful. And having my Mom there at the heart of it all—the ultimate host, personal tour guide, original chef extraordinaire, endless source of energy, and the one making sure we were always where we needed to be and making the most of every minute—made it truly unforgettable.

My Moms warmth, generosity, and enthusiasm made the entire experience that much richer for all of us.

The whole weekend was filled with friendship, adventure, encouragement, great food, plenty of laughs, and memories I know will stay with me for years to come.

A day I’ll never forget and a weekend I’ll hold in my heart forever. ❤️

What a gift of a sky to end the day.

Mont-Tremblant has been part of my life since I was five years old.

I grew up skiing these mountains and cross-country skiing the surrounding trails. Summers were spent swimming across the lake with my sister, water skiing, hiking, exploring, and eventually biking up from Montreal. My first triathlon was at age 14 in one of the surrounding lakes, and perhaps that’s why the triathlete in me never really left. What a gift it is to reconnect with that part of myself more than three decades later.

The love of movement, adventure, and the outdoors that lives in me today was nurtured here. It wasn’t just a place we visited; it was a way of life that my parents inspired and instilled in me, and one my Mom and I still share today.

Tomorrow feels like a full-circle moment.

I get to swim in the lake I’ve loved since childhood, bike through the mountains and valleys I grew up exploring, and run through a place that helped shape who I am. Completing a Half IRONMAN in Mont-Tremblant has been on my bucket list for a long time.

No matter what tomorrow brings, I’m grateful for the journey that led me here and grateful to share this weekend with two wonderful friends, Lauren and Elizabeth, who will also be taking on this challenge.

The work is done. Tomorrow we get to celebrate it.

✨ STRIVE Tribe Highlight ✨

Last year, Varsha and Sri came to Strive to celebrate their anniversary. This year, they came back.

When I asked Varsha what brought them back, this was her response:

“For our last anniversary, we were looking for a vegetarian or vegan spot near my office in Sandy Springs, and Strive Foods instantly caught our attention—not just for the food, but for the beautiful story behind how you built it.

When we met you last year, you unknowingly made our day even more special. Your passion, your energy, and the love you put into this place and community stayed with us long after we left.

So this year, when we thought about where to go, it wasn’t even a question. We remembered the warmth you gave us, and choosing Strive again felt natural.”

There are so many places people can choose to celebrate life’s special moments, so hearing this truly means the world to us.

Weekend recap ☀️🌱

The first photo is Rachel Gearing , a professional runner with the Atlanta Track Club. She stopped by after her morning run—still glowing from the effort—to refuel and grab some nourishment. Our favorite part of what we do is nourishing people from all walks of life—athletes, cancer warriors, those working through health challenges, and anyone seeking a healthier path forward or just wanting to enjoy some GOOD food!

🔥 BBQ Tempeh Bites are back this weekend! 🔥

One of those items that somehow disappears faster than we can make them.

Tempeh (protein packed, slightly nutty flavor, great texture) tossed in our favorite sweet-savory sauce (part BBQ, part Asian-inspired magic), then topped with sesame seeds, green onion, cilantro, and crisp radish.

They’re delicious straight from the container, but they’re also great in tacos, salads, rice bowls, pasta dishes, wraps, savory breakfast dishes or whatever sounds good.
