Two Italian families immigrated to this country in search of a better life…
Alexander Scagnetti from Codroipo in Northern Italy in 1904 and Michele Sortino from Modica, Sicily in 1952. These men never knew each other, but their families would meet and form a lasting friendship based on mutual respect and an entrepreneurial spirit. lexander Scagnetti’s granddaughter, have created a strong bond over the years and both share a love of cooking. Their family ristorante, Sortino's Little Italy, has become a local favorite serving up dishes using recipes passed down from generation to generation. Both George and his brother James have first-hand experience using brick ovens in their homes. They felt the community also needed a restaurant which offered the unique flavor and texture this cooking technique brings to food. The Middleswarth family accepted the challenge and, reminiscent of old Italy, The Brick Oven Bistro was born. With a combination of traditional northern Italian and Sicilian taste, George and Lynn created a menu of appetizers, gourmet pizzas and delectable sandwiches which are fired in our brick oven. Youngest son, Shane, transformed the old Howard Johnson’s into a cozy, Italian eatery, while his older brothers, Benjamin and Geoffrey, see to the daily operations. It truly is a family affair. Come join our families, from Italy to the USA…we welcome you not only as patrons, but as friends.

House-made taco sauce is the base. It’s topped with seasoned ground, black beans, red onion, fresh jalapeño, three cheese house blend, tomato, and cheddar cheese. When it comes out of the oven it’s topped with fresh lettuce, sour cream, crunchy tortilla strips, and more taco sauce! This is one of our most requested feature pizzas! So much flavor! HONEY MUSTARD CHICKEN BACON PIZZA- The base is our house made honey mustard sauce. It’s topped with fried chicken, bacon, red onion, tomato, our house cheese blend, and cheddar cheese. Topped with more honey mustard.
We will have this pizza available for at least the weekend. We also recommend adding pickles if you are into that sort of thing! Get it while we got it! ☝️🔥🍕

Pesto Garden Vegetable Pizza- the base is our alfredo, topped with a wild mushroom blend, roasted red peppers, green peppers, red onion, sun-dried tomatoes, Kalamata olives, crumbled goat cheese, and our house cheese blend. When it comes out it gets fresh pesto, shredded parmesan, and lemon zest.

WARNING- PLEASE DON’T ORDER THIS PIZZA UNLESS YOU LIKE REALLY HOT FOOD!!! Na**lm Chicken Pizza is back! Our world famous na**lm sauce is made with Carolina Reapers, Ghost Peppers, Habaneros, and a few other pepper varieties. It’s delicious but also very hot, hence the disclaimer. Bistro Pub Pizza is BACK! This newest iteration features a house made beer cheese base. It’s topped with bacon, fried chicken, caramelized onion, fried potatoes, three cheese blend, and cheddar cheese. When it comes out of the oven it’s topped with onion straws, bistro sauce, and shredded parmesan. Pretzel crust is available as well. Onion straws will be available as an appetizer for those of you that are sad we took them off of the permanent menu. We also have pretzel breadsticks and beer cheese appetizer! Lots of good stuff for this week and next! Get it while we got it! ☝️🔥🍕🍺🧀🥨
