Maya’s Latin Kitchen is more than just a Mexican restaurant — it is the story of a family, a dream, and the American Dream.
Our story begins in Oaxaca, Mexico, with Jose Nunez, his wife Abigail Sarmiento, and his brother Jorge Nunez. ❤️ Coming from hardworking families, they came to the United States at a very young age carrying little more than hope, determination, and the dream of building a better life.
They worked hard, made sacrifices, and never forgot the values their families taught them — to be honest, work hard, treat others with respect, and always take pride in what you do. Through every challenge, they held onto a dream of one day creating a Mexican restaurant where they could share the food, traditions, culture, and flavors they grew up with.
That dream became Maya’s Latin Kitchen.🌮❤️
Today, Maya’s is more than a restaurant. It is a piece of our home, our heritage, and the journey that brought our family from Oaxaca to the United States. Every dish we serve carries a little piece of where we came from, and every person who walks through our doors becomes part of the dream we worked so hard to build.
