☕️🧋 NEW: BOBA ICED CORTADITO
Hispanic Heritage Month starts today, and we’re celebrating the way we know best: by honoring where we come from while staying curious about the world around us.
Meet our newest sweet treat: the Boba Iced Cortadito.
We took our signature Iced Cortadito and added chewy tapioca pearls — bringing together Cuban espresso and cassava, two ingredients already deeply familiar to our kitchen, in a drink inspired by something that originated an ocean away.
And somehow, it just works.
Cuban food has never existed in isolation. For generations, Cuban cuisine has absorbed influences from the many cultures and people who crossed paths on the island, adapting ingredients, techniques and traditions into something new — and distinctly Cuban.
We’re certainly not claiming boba or milk tea as our own. Quite the opposite. We love that this drink gives us an opportunity to appreciate a culinary tradition from another part of the world while creating something that is uniquely ours here at Cuban Kitchen.
Because learning about other cultures has a funny way of teaching us more about our own.
The more we explore what makes us different, the more often we discover ingredients, histories, traditions and experiences that connect us.
And maybe that’s a pretty good way to begin Hispanic Heritage Month: proud of where we come from, curious about where others come from, and always willing to meet somewhere in the middle.
Preferably over something delicious.
Come try the new Boba Iced Cortadito — available now at Cuban Kitchen. ☕️🧋
