David Wilhelm's latest creative American fare in the heart of San Juan Capistrano with unparalleled mission views.
(1146)

Tavern at the Mission is the creation of restaurateurs David Wilhelm and Gregg Solomon who have separately developed numerous Orange County restaurants over the past 25 years, including Savannah Chop House, Jimmy's Famous Tavern, Barbacoa, Chat Noir, Diva, Sorrento Grille & French 75. David and Gregg are residence of San Juan Capistrano and created this new concept as a neighborhood gathering spot for drinking, dining, socializing, and all of life's celebrations. It's stunning view of the historic San Juan Capistrano Mission is the backdrop for a casual lunch, relaxing dinner, weekend brunch, happy hour or late-night snacking. The beautiful open patio is surrounded by shade trees, roses and succulents overlooking the majestic remains of the mission. Our location offers walkable sites to enjoy the historic part of downtown San Juan Capistrano.

🌵 NEW CARNITAS COWBOY TACOS 🌮

Last week, we introduced a new taco to our Cowboy Taco lineup—and they received rave reviews! 🤠

Our slow-braised, tender pork Carnitas are topped with house-made pickled red onions, avocado, and our signature fire-grilled Salsa Quemada, all served on our Cowboy Butter-based blue corn tortillas.

Our Blackened Alaskan Cod Tacos still reigned as the #1 seller for the night, but the Carnitas were a very close second!

Join us tonight starting at 4PM and enjoy one of our delicious Cowboy Taco offerings. And here’s an Insider’s Tip: Come before 6PM and enjoy Happy Hour prices on draft b**r and margaritas—a perfect Western combination. 🍺🍹

See you tonight, partners! 🤠
