Giving back has been something we’ve been thinking deeply about recently. It was one of the things we hoped to build into our cafe from the very beginning. For example, we volunteered at a local charity before we trained on drink making.
We share more about the "why" because our hope is to drive more awareness to local causes. When I was working in corporate, I wanted to do more, but it was tough to find the time to research different causes to get involved with (that’s on me for not making time). We also want to be transparent about where we’re giving because it keeps us accountable to the kind of business we want Junbi SF to be.
From time to time, we’ll share what we’re supporting, our progress toward our goals which will vary year over year, and why we chose each cause. We hope it gives you a little more context about the cafe you’re supporting when you stop by Junbi SF.
We’re always learning and figuring out what giving back should look like for us even if we don't get it perfect, but we want it to be thoughtful and consistently involved in our community. 🤍
