After 8 years of operating in SF and the Bay Area our time has come to close Ritu and Dum. It was not an easy decision to make, especially after putting in so much of our heart and soul. Although we managed to survive the pandemic, it was not enough to keep us going, and the challenges kept coming. Unfortunately, it is a struggle to operate in SF, and these last few years has been even more demoralizing to be in the city.
Although we had our share of failures, it was the successes that always made it worthwhile for all the work that went into our food truck and restaurant. Bay Area Top 20 Food Truck, Food Wine Magazine, Check Please Bay Area, Eater Top Indian Restaurants, The Plate and Top Indian Restaurants by Michelin, The Globe - to name a few, would have never happened without Ritu and Dum. We are not saying good bye… there is more to come and much more to share with Food, Wine and our Hospitality. We have our guests, family, friends and most importantly our team past and present to be grateful for the last 8 years. We invite you to experience Ritu one last time before our doors close on 10/28. We are open Wednesday through Sunday from 5:30 onwards, and reservations recommended.
