Behind the sticker: DOUG DOUG

Every Andytown sticker has a story, this one belongs to a tiny little dog who once ruled Lawton Street with an iron paw.

Doug Doug maintained his post on Lawton Street until his owner Mae sold her shop next door and retired. For years afterward, the two of them would still stop by Andytown to check in on us, Doug Doug bossing us around like he never left.

Doug Doug has since passed away, but his legend lives on. You can find Doug Doug as one of the characters on every Andytown paper cup and, of course, as his very own sticker.

So next time you’re drinking an Andytown coffee, look for the little Pomeranian. And if you happen to be riding a bicycle, just know: he’s barking at you from doggy heaven.

We stopped by SF Animal Care & Control to donate a sack of our new Snowy Plover dog toys and met some sweet adoptable pups!
San Francisco Animal Care and Control is the city’s only open-admission animal shelter. Not only do they care for adoptable animals, but they serve all animals, both wild and domestic. In addition to sheltering animals, SFACC provides services including animal reunification, adoptions, emergency animal response, animal control, wildlife care, and support for animals and their families in the community. Friends of SFACC is the nonprofit fundraising partner for SFACC, helping provide resources and support that enhance the care and services available to San Francisco’s animals.

Ten years ago, we bought our first coffee from Honduran coffee farmer Maria Adela. This year, we’re incredibly proud to welcome her coffee back to Andytown and celebrate a partnership that has now lasted a decade.

When we started Andytown, we wanted to build a coffee company rooted in relationships. We wanted to know where our coffee came from, who grew it, and to build partnerships that could last from harvest to harvest.

Maria Adela has been part of that story for ten years.

This year’s harvest is now available at Andytown. Pick up a bag, brew a cup, and help us celebrate 10 years of Maria Adela at Andytown!

Help us support Colombia Earthquake Relief with every Wind & Sea purchase.

On August 10th, our coffee partners in Manizales, Colombia, were heavily affected by a 7.5 magnitude earthquake that destroyed buildings, infrastructure, and killed over 350 people.

Colombian coffee is the base of our beloved Wind & Sea Blend—the beans that we use for every cup of drip, and the first blend that Andytown ever created.

We’re working with our partners at Siruma Coffee to raise funds and help rebuild coffee-growing areas affected by the earthquake.

A portion from every bag of Wind & Sea sold in the month of October will go towards Siruma’s fundraiser. You can support us by simply purchasing a bag of this favorite blend. 💙
