Cow by Bear is the vision of an anonymous chef that simply goes by the name, “Bear.” Started out of Bear’s apartment in 2011, Cow by Bear is now a highly regarded dinner party experience operating out of one of several secret downtown San Diego locations. Dinners take place every Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday night at 8pm. Each dinner is reserved to 14 guests in a communal, social setting. Dinner is five courses, highlighted by a 50-day dry aged ribeye roast entrée. After receiving a cocktail and snack upon arrival, each course is paired with fine w**e expertly curated by Bear. It is a dinner party experience like no other, where you can expect to not only eat a world class meal cooked by a Bear, but leave with new friends. We look forward to spending an evening with you.

Some mysteries take decades to unravel. Patty just needed a dinner invitation. 👣🍽️

On October 20, Cow by Bear welcomes Bigfoot legend Patty for one night in the kitchen. The evening coincides with Capturing Bigfoot, the documentary revisiting Roger Patterson’s famous 1967 footage and the family, friendships, and believers tied to the story.

Expect a one-night-only menu inspired by what Patty brought down from the mountains… and what Bear learned beside her over a fire. The full menu stays a mystery until it lands at the table.

Humans, we have a dinner guest coming out of the woods. 👣🌲

Her name is Patty. You’ve probably seen her before: the seven-foot legend from that grainy 1967 footage, caught mid-stride and looking back over her shoulder. Bear says he met her years ago in a Northern California redwood grove, and they’ve been friends ever since. Naturally, he kept that little detail to himself for nearly sixty years. 🐻🤫

Now Patty’s coming to town for the one-night screening of Capturing Bigfoot at Coronado Village Theaters on October 21. The night before, she and Bear are doing something they’ve never done: cooking for each other. 🔥🍄

Join us on October 20, National Bigfoot Day, for a mystery tasting menu inspired by the woods, what Patty loves, and a few ingredients she brought down from the mountains herself. Bear’s keeping the courses under wraps until they reach the table. Some things are better left half-seen. 👀

It’s one night only, and we can’t promise Patty will make another public appearance. Seats are extremely limited, so don’t leave Bear hanging. 🎟️
