Like we say in the US, it’s not my first rodeo!

I wanted to introduce myself to explain how I leaded to open Studio 1840.
So let’s start from the beginning!

I studied in Paris, interior design. Then life made me move to a country side of France ( like my neighbors were a group of cows!), where I couldn’t really do what I studied for.
So I decided ( maybe with a little unconsciousness!) to open my first business. Very young, very determined, without a business plan, and all by myself to figure things out.

My coffee shop bakery was the first one in this town, and it still stands today after 2 different ownerships.

I met wonderful people, still by my side today.

And then life made me move again across the Atlantic this time…

That’s for another time.

One of a kind piece of art.

Japanese vintage place cards.
Those place cards are wood block printed on thin wood.
The colors are still vivid ( not really giving justice on those pictures!) and the print quality is amazing.

Spotlights on Avenue Manchester fall production.
Handmade in California, make up bags with new and vintage fabrics.

For the story, the Japanese style one’s use fabric from France bought more than 20 years ago in Toulouse France.
I did some pillow cases with it and give some to Justine to make her beautiful bags.
