Happy Birthday to our wonderful owner, Selina! 🎂🇬🇧

Today, the entire team at **The Britannia Tearooms and Shakespeare’s Corner Shoppe**, along with her partner DJ, want to wish Selina the happiest of birthdays.

Selina is so much more than the owner of our two very special British businesses. She is the heart behind them. She works incredibly hard, goes above and beyond for her team every single day, and puts so much love, care and passion into creating the experiences our guests have come to know and love.

From the smallest details to the biggest ideas, Selina is always there, always supporting everyone around her and always finding a way to make things that little bit more special. We are incredibly lucky to have her leading our Britannia and Shakespeare’s family, and today we hope she gets to feel just how appreciated and loved she truly is.

Selina and Elysia are giving you a closer look at our beautiful August Afternoon Tea Menu, filled with fresh summer flavours and a little touch of English magic.

This month’s menu includes Queen of Hearts Coronation Chicken Salad, a delicious selection of finger sandwiches, Turkey Caesar Salad Phyllo Cups, Mini Sausage Rolls with Branston Pickle and, of course, freshly baked scones served with clotted cream, blackcurrant jam and lemon curd.

Save room for dessert because we also have Passion Fruit Cream Tarts, Mixed Berry Trifle and Strawberry Sponge with Elderflower Buttercream.

Our featured tea for August is Alice – A Mad Hatter’s Affair, a robust black tea infused with papaya, hibiscus, pineapple, apple and orange.

August has arrived at The Britannia Tearooms, bringing long sunny afternoons, beautiful seasonal flavours and a little touch of Wonderland magic to every table!

Begin with our Queen of Hearts Coronation Chicken Salad, followed by a delicious selection of savouries including Mature English Cheddar with Red Dragon and Cranberry Mustard, Cucumber and Pesto Cream Cheese, Britannia Egg Salad, a Turkey Caesar Phyllo Cup, Caprese Toothpick and Mini Sausage Roll with Branston Pickle.

For something sweet, enjoy a freshly baked scone with clotted cream, blackcurrant jam and lemon curd, alongside a Passion Fruit Cream Tart, Mixed Berry Trifle and Strawberry Sponge with Elderflower Buttercream.
