Bread and Cheese Eatery faces a likely year-long rebuild after a Dec. 23 fire damaged its Oceanside location and two neighboring businesses

12/30/2025

Here’s the aftermath. They are estimating a year until we can reopen….😢

12/26/2025

We never imagined we’d be sharing this.

A fire caused serious damage to our business and forced us to temporarily close Bread & Cheese Eatery / And Breakfast Burritos. We’re incredibly thankful everyone is safe, but the road to reopening will take time and support.

We’ve started a GoFundMe to help cover repairs, replace damaged equipment, and support our team while we rebuild. We are still open for catering (for Bread and Cheese), and every bit of support — donations or shares — truly means the world to us.

Thank you for being part of our community ❤️
