🍻 Oktoberfest is happening TODAY at the Hammel Museum in Socorro!
We stopped by and had such a fun time exploring the museum, checking out the model trains, and learning a little more about our local history.

If you’re looking for something to do today, go hang out! Oktoberfest runs until 3 PM and has live music, dancing, food, locally brewed b**r, museum tours, model trains and more — and admission is FREE!
We love seeing people out supporting the events and organizations that make our little corner of New Mexico so special.

WE’RE CLOSING EARLY TODAY

Due to the severe weather, we will stop seating at 2:00 PM today and close early.

Some of our staff are already rained in, and with conditions continuing, we don’t want anyone, our employees or our customers, taking unnecessary risks trying to get here or get home.

Everyone’s safety comes first.

What a storm! We know Socorro, San Antonio, and communities all across our part of New Mexico got hit hard, and we hope everyone made it through safely and is staying dry today.

The Buckhorn is OPEN and ready to feed you! If you’re out and about, travel safely, watch those roads, and come see us for a burger and some green chile.

What a weekend at the Socorro County Fair!
Huge congrats to all our 4-H and FFA kids, the cowboys and girls who put on a show, and everyone who competed this year. Y'all make this county proud. Who else came home with a goldfish? We sure did.
And a special shoutout to Morgen for taking home Judge's Choice on her peaches! Looks like we've got the next generation of Sichler household cooks coming up strong.

What a day! Thank you to everyone who came out for the 3rd Annual Buckhorn Tavern Community Golf Tournament yesterday at New Mexico Tech Golf Course. From our golfers to our sponsors to our incredible volunteers, you made it a day full of sunshine, laughs, and community spirit.

And we've got some exciting news: this year, our scholarship fund became fully endowed! That means the support you gave doesn't just help this year's students. It creates a lasting source of scholarship funding for years to come.

We're not stopping there, this fall, we're excited to launch a community grant program too. More details coming soon!
