In 1979, Viola Barrios bet everything on a last hope for her family - a restaurant named Los Barrios. She made it a San Antonio tradition through her love for family, hard work, and a passion for the best Casero-style Mexican food. We then opened up La Hacienda de Los Barrios in 2004 and Viola’s Ventanas in 2013 to continue serving up home-style cooking with an abundance of amor, fe, y alegria par

a vivar! Some things you just have to see (or taste!) to believe, and our award-winning food is one of them. These standout dishes define our cooking as a Mexican restaurant, from our signature dishes like El Mofofo, the combination of beef and pork steeped in our special marinade, grilled and served over flames; to the chicken-fried steak, Milanesa con Papas; and the enchilada collection, the Classic Enchilada Assortment. In San Antonio, families, and extended families, love to eat out together. It's part of the culture that enjoys fiestas and celebrations central to the family.
