Years later, Don worked his way through school and supported his young family by operating the grocery store. Always being involved with fresh produce and quality meat through the grocery store, Don decided to become a restaurateur by opening a hamburger drive-in in Salt Lake City. Becaus

e of Don's attention to detail, Hires Big H Drive-in has become famous for its sensational Big H, fresh cut fries, homemade onion rings, special dipping sauce and frosty mugs of root beer. Hires Big H is the gathering place for tasty food and cheerful service for friends and family from all walks of life. Alongside a successful man, there often stands a wonderful woman. Don married the beautiful Shirley Hickman in 1947. Shirley has supported Don in his many endeavors, assisting in the restaurants, particularly in the early days, by providing recipes and making sauces. The end of an era!! Today we celebrated the retirement of Jon and Mark Hale after 4️⃣0️⃣+ years of service to and . There are no words to fully convey how amazing these men are and the impact they have had on the employees, the restaurant and the community at large. We may be biased, but we don’t think you can find better people. 👌

Even though they may no longer be involved in the day-to-day of running the restaurant, their impact will live on indefinitely. Thank you Jon and Mark for your decades of leadership. Thank you also to Karen and Julie for all the support they gave behind the scenes and helping keep Jon and Mark’s lives running. We love you all. ❤️ Please join us in wishing them the best in their next stage of life ⬇️.

This post has been a long time coming, but we’re thrilled to announce we’ve finally got our fish and chips back on the menu! Delicious, flaky halibut with creamy tartar sauce, a lemon wedge for freshness and hot, crispy fries with our signature fry sauce. You may feel like you’ve spent the afternoon on the other side of the pond. Cheerio, mate!

Did you know the first neon sign (as we know it today) was exhibited at the Paris Motor Show in 1910? Their popularity peaked between 1920 and 1950. The bright, buzzing light was a fun way to call out to motorists who were passing by. We love the way captured our sign for the darling photo shoot this summer ❤️🍔❤️. Cheers to comfy clothes, bright lights and good food 🍻.
