Stop by tomorrow to visit our 900 s location one last time, we had to make the heartbreaking decision to close it.

Our Dowtown location will be open until the end of June and we are bringing a few of the menu options from the milk block location so you can enjoy them for one last month!

To our community and everyone that has offered us love and support, it’s never easy having to close down a business that was built out of love and a drive to show our community love through food so we want to thank everyone who has shown up from the very bottom of our hearts.

We wouldn’t have made it this far without you all!

We filmed this episode filled with excitement for a delicious summer, only to be hit with the most heartbreaking news right after wrapping:
Xiao Bao Bao is closing both of its locations.

It is an absolute gut punch to our local food scene. Romina and the team have poured so much love, culture, and unmatched flavor into these spots, and losing them leaves a massive, bao-sized hole in our hearts.

If you’ve ever had their fluffy Chilean empanada bao, the perfectly crispy scallion pancakes, or those comforting pork and cabbage dumplings, you know exactly how special this place is.

The clock is officially ticking, which means, we need to flood these locations with love before they close for good.

Seriously, clear your schedule this weekend. Go grab a tray of Bao and dumplings, share a pot of tea, and let’s give this incredible crew the massive, crowded send-off they deserve.

Milk Block Location: Closing at the end of May.
Downtown Location: Closing at the end of June.

✨ The Silver Lining: Chez Nibs is Staying Open!
Thankfully, it’s not a total goodbye to Romina’s culinary magic. Chez Nibs (located just two doors down from the downtown Xiao Bao Bao) is staying open! You will still be able to get your hands on those legendary, world-famous Kouign Amanns, their ultra-smooth new soft serve, and those gorgeous artisan bonbons.

Hi All. While this isn’t the announcement we want to make, it’s an announcement we must. We will be closing Xiao Bao Bao, with our Milk Block Location at the end of May, and our Downtown Location and the end of June.

We have been so grateful for those who have supported us these last 3 years. We have loved creating food that, we hope, shared our memories of places both near and far. But, the numbers just never quite worked out. So, we say goodbye, thankful for the chance to bring Xiao Bao Bao to you.

During June, we will transition the Downtown Store to longer hours (11-8), and will shift our full menu to that location. We also plan to build up our frozen stock so you can grab some of your favorite baos for the future. We will also meet any catering and event commitments that we have already made.

We want to acknowledge our wonderful team, who have been amazing. We couldn’t have done this without them. We want to thank anyone who has dropped a review, placed an order, used us for catering, and walked through our doors. We loved serving you, and we hope that, maybe, we had a chance to have our food become a great memory for you.

It's time for a new special. And we've brought back a fan favorite! Our Mole Bao will be available for the month of May. A rich and savory mole with chicken perfectly compliments our soft and fuffy bao dough. We know you've be asking for another one!
